Guest guest
Red, Definately will let you know how it goes. I'm not exactly sure what follow up tests were done on me. Results should be in Thursday, so I'll post what the test were then. I'm not very impressed with the diagnosticians here either, but we shall see what they say. Ironically, it was my Dermatologist that initially ran the ANA on me. I too have strange skin issues, though I've had dry skin and problems my whole life. All of this is new to me; I was just getting acquainted with hyper issues when this broke with our other daughter. Amy's Pam

Guest guest
Hi Amy's Pam, Hugs to you for being dealt this additional issue! I'm totally unfamilar with Lupus and all these tests they are running on me too. I'm trying to be patient and wait until I know what the results are before I start educating myself on whatever issues need to be addressed. Although I do not want an additional diagnosis, I would rather know and begin treatment if I do have something going on. Best wishes to BOTH your girls! Guest guest
Doris, I remember that some drugs will induce Lupus and it resolves when the drug is stopped. I had a positive ANA titer after taking beta blockers. Haven't been retested but, since nobody told me not to, I just abruptly stopped the beta blockers when I was having a " medically induced " temper tantrum. Didn't kill me. Nobody even mentioned it could cause problems. Didn't know a thing until I read about it....probably on this list. To Amy's Pam..............here's hoping it will turn out to be something simple and easily treated. You and your kids have been through enough.
