I am Walking on May 2, 2010 to support all children with special needs

HI,

In 2001 was diagnosed with Autism, As a parent, my heart shattered thinking of the difficulties he would face integrating into society but most importantly, forming relationships. I feared loneliness and constant rejection. Soon after, my family found a light, guiding us into easement and optimism. That light is called Friendship Circle.

Friendship Circle, a non-profit organization which services Broward & Palm Beach Counties, provides a wide range of programs such as Sunday Circles, bowling, Friends at Home and Holiday Programs for to socialize with children and teenagers within our community. The Friendship Circle serves as a safe environment for families with children who have special needs to participate and not worry about judgment, but instead celebrate and learn in the spirit of friendship. And everyone deserves genuine friendship.

When we walk into Friendship Circle, the overwhelming love and excitement in his eyes soothes our worries and brightens his future. As a parent, you cannot ask for anything more.

And that is why on Sunday, May 2nd, we have chosen to participate in IWalk4Friendship 2010 – an annual fundraiser hosted by Friendship Circle in order to raise awareness and funds for the programs they provide to so many families in our community.

I am writing today to ask you for a donation. By donating to Friendship Circle, you can join us in saying " Thank You " to an organization that has served as a light in the dark for our family. I am also inviting you to join our team and walk with us in honor of all of the children like that courageously face challenges and overcome them with love and friendship.

Thank you for all of the love you have shown us over the years and join us in spreading the betterment and acceptance of children with special needs.
