Guest guest
think it is pretty easy tohave capsular contraction stated as a reason Absolutely I also made phone calls to my insurance company. I am a doctor and did not go into specific details. I did this to help me get approval and speed it up I would phone my Insurance Co at least once if not twice a week literally crying ...Boo hooo ... Boo hooo.. Requesting whomever approves my surgery, to make note I'm in Extreme pain !!!! I cannot afford this surgery out of pocket I am a single mom Boo hooo... Boo hooo.. I informed them it's hard taking care of my son being in so much pain... My insurance company showed much sympathy They called me at home not once but twice to say hang in there and the letter from my surgeon for needed surgery was moving right along. They let me know in around about way that my surgery would most likely be approved. My Insurance Co phoned my house again to let me know I was approved for my needed surgery. I had to pay half the cost because I went out of state meaning I went out of my network. Proper Explant - is worth going afar Sandy~ Hi Lea,I do not have to pay for my explant, but I am payingfor a lift that I am getting at the same time as OHIPwill not pay for that. I decided I didn't want to waitto get a hospital date through OHIP (it can be up to ayear wait time). My surgeon is billing OHIP for myexplant and I am paying to have my surgery done at herprivate clinic and the lift. I didn't want to wait anylonger so the expense is worth it. It is wonderfulthat women in Canada don't have to pay for explant.but I think Traci is right about needing a medicalreason for it and then there is a long wait as it isnot priority surgery. I think it is pretty easy tohave capsular contraction stated as a reason forexplant. That is the reason my surgeon will use forOHIP too.Katy:)
