Guest guest
> > Deb wrote: Cooked meat is so unhealthy though, still > does not make me want to eat sushi . Deb Dear Deb: If you're avoiding sushi for health reasons (i.e., risk of parasite infection) rather than taste reasons, this may interest you. I came across a healthy, active Japanese man in his seventies who runs a local Japanese health food - grocery store. He related a story to me about school children in his home town in Japan who came down sick with some micro-organism that had proliferated in the school's water supply. The remedy supplied by a Japanese doctor was to give all the kids wasabe tablets. It worked. The gentleman told me that if you eat wasabe with your sushi, you need not fear parasites. This from a guy in his seventies who eats sushi and is 'full of beans'. Cheers, Colin Yardley
Guest guest
Deb, Betaine hydrochloride & glutamic acid hydrochloride are both goot HCL sources available at the HFS. Look for enzymes with protease made from aspergillus. It will be a better digestive enzyme. In the book Enzyme Nutrition is is described how the plant & animal enzymes work at the wrong Ph or temperature, and that the aspergillus enzymes operate at the Ph & temp in our bodies. I can almost see you recoil as you type sushi. <G> Most people would say the same about steak tartare. In my experience it only takes 2-3 tries to get over initial repugnance with a new food. For exmple, I hate the texture of raw oysters until I've had a few. Then for the next 8-10 dozen they are almost intoxicating. Besides, with sushi you are getting trace minerals, oils & other fish goodies au naturel. I think craving raw meat means my body has switched from metabolism to catabolism. I think one reason I have always been rail skinny is I waste for lack of an appetite. I don't think to eat until I'm way past starving. jim Debbie Mc wrote: > > Jim Lambert wrote: > > > > Deb, > > > > What do you mean lost your protection? > > Yes, I lost the saliva and HCL from the stomach that would kill > the baddies. Guest guest
Dear Deb, Meat requires lots of protease (trypsin) from the pancreas, so being a heavy meat eater means wearing out the pancreas, which has another job, making insulin. That is why meat eaters are more prone to diabetes. Not to worry : Gymnema sylvestre will regenerate the pancreas. A plant source of HCl is betaine hydrochloride, made from beet roots. Guest guest
Deb, If you're worried about heavy metals from seafood, large doses of A, E, C & selenium allow the body to pass heavy metals rather than absorb them. I read that years ago in reference to bottomdwelling seafood. jim

Guest guest
With all this talk about eating raw meat, I have to ask: Isn't that what the Old Testament talks about when it mentions not eating the blood? I'm not Jewish so I'm not sure exactly what Kosher is, but I do know I like my meat well done. The only raw meats I would " eat " would be glandular tablets or New Zealand beef liver powder (from a can). Guest guest
, No, tartare is not what was meant biblically by eating the " blood. " It meant, literally, drinking the blood of dead animals. The proper way to slaughter biblically is to hang the animal live by the feet, cut the carotids & let it bleed to death, with the pumping heart aiding the process. And, choriso sausage there is blood sausage from the cow. It is a staple in huevos rancheros. Tartare is just raw meat with the digestive enzymes still intact. And, BTW, a steak is not " bloody. Guest guest
Some other things I find it is excellent for: Dry, itchy eyes (especially the kind that eye drops don't fix/irritate worse) Dialated pupils Assimilation of B3, B6 and B9 if not consumed in coenzyme form. (B3 coenzyme is niacinamide, B6 is P5P and B9 is Folinic Acid [note the extra " in " in the middle] - anything else requires B2) Correcting Peripheral Neuropathy caused by excessive B6 in pyridoxine form (plant sources of B6, as well as a good number of supplemental sources. P5P is the ideal source for B6 since it doesn't require B2 for assimilation.) -Lana On 6/27/07, Anne <anne_white53@...> wrote: > > Awesome ! did you know Riboflavin Vitamin B2 can prevent and or treat: > > + Migrane headaches > > + Sensitivity to Light > > + Catarracts and last but not least: > > + CRADLE CAP; Cradle Cap is a sure sign of A Riboflavin Vitamin B2 > Defieicny; yet how many Doctors tell parents this? hmmmmmmm? > . > > >

Guest guest
Okay, I think there's some clarification needed here... Ergot causes hallucinations because it is a serotonin agonist (in other words, it fits in the serotonin socket, but doesn't act exactly like serotonin). It doesn't actually " break " anything and I would suspect it would also free up serotonin for other things in the body as a result. Perhaps a combo of Tryptophan, B6 (P5P) and Magnesium would have a similar effect, without the halleucinations due to to the serotonin analog. However, the O2 increase is not related to serotonin. It is related to noradrenaline's alpha-1 receptors which mercury clogs up. The amino acid tyrosine is the precursor to noradrenaline and requires B6 (P5P) and magnesium for conversion. So, tyrosine supplementation should have a similar effect to Hydergine. There is some concern over the link between tyrosine and melanoma, so if you are hyperthyroid you may want to skip the tyrosine. (Andy's post on that here: http://onibasu.com/archives/am/67401.html) Other Andy posts on Tyrosine (dosing): http://onibasu.com/archives/am/44592.html http://onibasu.com/archives/am/46962.html Here's a great tidbit about No-phenol - I'm thinking I should order a bottle: http://onibasu.com/archives/am/67403.html -Lana On 6/27/07, Anne <anne_white53@...> wrote: > > Yeah Ergot from Whaet is where the original idea came from. Guest guest
> HYDERGINE is NOT approved for children; Almost no drugs routinely used on children are approved for use in children. The ability to specifically approve drugs for use in children is relatively recent. Most (80%) of all drug prescriptions are for uses other than the approved use. The list will work a lot better if people can refrain from agitating it with inflammatory statements until after they get a little context so they can say something reasonably related to the reality of how medicine works. Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your comments re: Hydergine. I will report back to the group when I have some first hand experience to report. > > > HYDERGINE is NOT approved for children; > > Almost no drugs routinely used on children are approved for use in children. > > The ability to specifically approve drugs for use in children is relatively recent. > > Most (80%) of all drug prescriptions are for uses other than the approved use. > > The list will work a lot better if people can refrain from agitating it with inflammatory > statements until after they get a little context so they can say something reasonably > related to the reality of how medicine works. > > Andy >

Guest guest
Hi Patty, What was your experience with Hydergine and what brand ALA do you use? Also, I'm curious what dosage you use now or is it just random? Thanks! Love, PH
