Linzu ??

I lived with flu like symtoms for 3 years but eventually

gotten better after capsulectomy. Assuming she had this

done !!! It takes a while to start to feel like your normal

self again....it a slow healing process for most of us women

here. Sometimes you feel worse after surgery due to the

molds and yeast in our bodies ....make sure she is taking

lots of probiotics and eating probiotics too like cottage cheese

and kefir. THese foods have probiotics in them. Big HELP !!

Glad to see she has a sister like you taking care of her.....

what a blessing !!!

Love

Do you know if the capsules were removed properly, or if the implants ruptured while being removed? She may need another surgery to remove the capsules if they are still there . . . If they rupture, she may be experiencing the results of being flooded with a host of mold and bacteria. This could result in toxic shock. If so, she needs expert medical attention immediately.Rogene Sicker after explant?

Hi,

I'm glad to hear your sister has been explanted. It's a positive step

in the right direction!

Feeling worse after surgery can be expected for some people. I felt

neither better nor worse. Just really sick. Surgery is a major trauma

to the body. It is normal to assume that it is going to take some time

to recover from the operation.

She should be under the care of her doctor still, and if anything

occurs that is alarming, he/she should be notified. The immune system

is so complex, and we may not be able to figure out why she has flu-

like symptoms with no fever, but my guess is that the immune system is

very much involved. I also believe strongly that the adrenals take a

huge hit and are very much involved in our illness.

Was the explant surgery without complications? If so, I would just

encourage resting up as long as possible, and allowing the body the

time it needs to heal. This is never an easy journey.

Hi Linzlu,

I had a similar reaction after surgery. I felt dizzy and flu-like

without a fever. I think this type of surgery is different than most

because we go into it highly toxic from the implants and possible

toxic fungi. Then from surgery we are bombarded with anesthesia,

antibiotics and other meds. Naturally, it takes our body a while to

recover and eliminate this overwhelming amount of toxins.

Remember too, everyone reacts differently. I heard a few of those

stories too that people went out shopping the next day. My experience

was nothing like that and I think most of those are few and far

between. It takes a while for the body to recover, but it does

eventually.

Just try to reassure your sis and mom that this takes time. It sounds

like her doc is aware of what's going on and doesn't seem concerned.

The best thing is just to rest, eat well and drink lots of water. Did

your sister have drains put in? Hang in there. For me, I found that

listening to very soothing music helped along w/ writing in my

journal. Love, PH

hELLO,

I am so sorry to here of your illness. I can tell you that I became much worse (sicker) after explant before getting better. I did read that prior to getting explanted and was told by a surgeon that some women get sicker after explant before getting better. I can not tell you how long it will take to get better .It is different for everyone. I can tell you that I was extremely sick before explant much worse after. It tookmonths before I could even get out of bed. It is now eighteen months later and I Am so much better. I had my saline implants for 18yrs. I hope that is of some help.

Joyce,I'm thrilled to hear you're doing much better after explant . . . It's really tough to recover after having implants for as long as 18 years! - Please tell her not to worry...I felt sicker for about the

first month after explant. I felt REALLY bad for about 2 weeks and

didn't even leave the house. Slowly, I started feeling better and

better. I didn't see noticeable changes until about month 3. Tell her

she can write to me personally if she is on the computer at all....she

knows how to get in touch with me.

Linzlu,

I was sicker after explant, too, but in time I improved. It

actually took me about 3 or 4 months before things calmed down and

then things improved from there. I didn't have flu like symptoms,

but my joints and bones hurt really bad. Not everyone is the same,

though. Surgery puts an awful load on a healthy person's body, no

less someone whose immune system is compromised.
