Guest guest
I hope you enjoy it Laurie. I have a banana w/ pb frequently in the morning. A friend told me she liked pb and gf and I thought it sounded disgusting until I tried it. I really have been relating to the posts the last few days, usually I just lurk, but I have been feeling so out of control that I thought maybe posting might help. Spring is upon us and the diet frenzy at work has begun. All I hear about is, no carb, Weight Watchers, only veggies..... and I am starting to feel out of control... like I am being sucked in. I have ALOT of weight to lose and everyone willingly starts conversations about their latest diet miracle and right now I can not handle it! I eat until satisfied and try to eat when hungry ( that needs alot more work )... feeling like my only solution is to diet has set up a couple of binges for me in the last few weeks... you know last supper mentality...and then I feel like I should punish myself when I do eat. I feel like I am losing control and losing my mind! Sorry for the long rant , but it feels good to get it out ( there is really noone I can say this stuff to ). Just wondering what that slice would taste like with some fresh strawberries rather than the grapefruit. Jeanne

Guest guest
I had this dessert once; banana in spring roll then fried; it was not good at all. I will stick to bananas uncooked. Peanut butter is one of my favorite foods, but I've become very fussy; I only want the natural kind with nothing but peanuts and salt. The reg. jif doesn't taste good to me anymore. If I remember correctly, Elvis Presley loved PB and banana, but I think he liked his fried. (The fried part doesn't sound the least big appetizing, does it?) Guest guest
Hi Sally, It's good that you're venting your frustration. If I had to listen to all those conversations about diet, I'd want to scream! It does sound like the thought of dieting leads to last supper eating, and it would for me also. That's why I am very, very careful to continually committ to allowing all foods no matter what. As for the eat when hungry and stop at comfortable satiation, that's a wonderful aim, and it takes practice. And it's ok to eat when not hungry once in while because it's not like a rigid diet rule. Progress not perfection. Tonight I was more hungry than usual, and probably because I am up late, lol, so I had a moment of hesitation when I got hungry about 20 min. ago; for a second I thought, could I really be hungry AGAIN? I was a skeptic for a second, but then I was almost 100 % sure I was reading my body correctly, so I ate an amount that would make me just satiated, but not more because I want to be hungry soon after I awake in the morning. This stuff is trial and error sometimes, and that's ok; it's how we learn for ourselves. If someone told us exactly what to do all the time it would be like a diet and we'd rebel totally, so we have to find out for ourselves with the books and others for support and guidance.
