Guest guest
Cherie ~ I have moving pain........the kefir has helped greatly with the gas. I drink some twice a day. I have chronic pancreatitis, and I am sure I have gall stones and or liver stones. I cant do a flush yet, cuz they dont want my heart to freak. I am waiting til after explant. You might want to ask your doc for a amylase and lipase tests. With you not having a gallbladder, your body is probably still not up to par from that. Your body has been thru so very much in the last couple years, it is just gonna take time, and lots of it. You will get well !!!!! YOU WILL ~ Love Dede Who's never won? Guest guest
Beth, Rogene is right .........this is immune disorders like digestive and sounds like Fibromyalgia . You need to do a juice fast. So your body can have the nutrients to dump the bad toxins out. Once you do this you will get better. Just remember you feel terible doing the fast but it takes the energy out of you so it can heal the digestive tract. That means no chewing by mouth because this makes acid and you dont want your body making acid right now. YOu want it to concentrate on getting the toxins out so you can heal and feel better. Buy a juicer and juice your way to health. Buy a book on juicing or Dr. Colberts fasting and Detoxification Book. Makes a great difference. Take Care and Work on getting Better. I was told I have IBS also, although, I KNOW I do not have it. I think I have a huge imbalance of bacteria in my gut from antibiotis, and the surgery itself. I have what feels like heart-burn in my stomach. However, since I have been on enzymes and probotics, it has not been as bad and any discomfort seems to feel like gas pressure now without the gas. It is lower in my stomach and jsut feels like pressure. I am trying to find something that will heal my stomach also.....I just think in my ase it will take time and lots of probotics!!!! My cousin has IBS and our symtpoms are not the same at all. I also wonder sometimes if what I am doing for my stomach is right....it is like I am not sure what to do to make it heal and get better because nothing seems to work. Hang in there and maybe we can find something that will work for both of us!!!!! Much Love, Beth Rogene/Patty Hi Ladies,Since I am such an "unique" case, I wanted to pick your brains. Have you ever had anyone in the group or have read about anyone having abodminal pain that moves around? Now that I am not on the diet, I still have pain BUT it's in different places. What I mean is, I now have sinus pain, lower back pain along with the gas and bloating . When I'm on the diet, the pain is in the squeezing under my ribcage that goes all round my torse, pelvic pain along with bloating and gas...and of course lets not forget my constant burbing.I have always felt that I did not have the symptoms that most of the woman in this group have. No joint pain, brain fog, hair falling out, swollen lymph nodes, etc.....none of those things. Only IBS symptoms. I think that's why it took me so long to figure out that this maybe my implants. When I researched problems with implants it never talked about IBS but all the other symptoms that the other ladies have. I noticed in the first page of this forum, it does not mention IBS. Sometimes I wonder if I've even figured out my problem yet. Thanks for you implant!Cherie Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Who's never won? Guest guest
Thanks ! No sorry needed my dear! I need to hear this, your story is very much like mine. I've always felt a bit of the odd one here. I'm not sure if you've been explanted yet but I was last November and nothing has changed. I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars to get better and still not even a slight change. I am so afraid that I will run out of money and not be well. I really thought going to a ND would at least treat my specific ailments but I only feel worse on all the supplements he's given me. Just taking a probiotic turns my insides upside down! Enzymes are extremely painful for me to take, I have to avoid them. I'm going to see a colon hydrotherapist next week however I do not get my hopes up anymore so I will wait to see if she can help me. If it does, I will let you know! I keep going in different directions to get better but I think I'm only going in circles. Thanks for your input! Guest guest
Cherie,Reasoning would say that you're lucky . .. since you don't have all the other symptoms. And, that, since your pain is related to your stomach, that it's basically digestive issues you're dealing with. It's apparent that your digestive system doesn't like most supplements . . . the fact that you're burping a lot would point in that direction too. Have you considered fasting? . . . The bad organisms starve to death on a fast . . . I'd take another look at things that would help build a healthy digestive system . . . Then try them slowly. . . . But you may want to clean the old stuff out first. . . liver/gall bladder flushes, coffee enemas, colonics, etc. Hugs,Rogene
Guest guest
Hi Rogene, Thanks for your input! I feel about the same as I do being on the diet and supplements. Pain is just in different areas. My pain moves around, apparently it likes to " travel " . It needs to pack it's suitcase and go home! I'm still taking probiotics but as usual having trouble digesting it. My body is very backwards, I put good things in it and just gets worse. I had hoped that being on the diet a while it would come around and start working better with the " good " foods, but no change. Guest guest
Beth, I started out doing a 1 day juice fast than worked my way to a 3 day juice fast then I do a 5 day juice fast and so forth. But the thing is your full of juices and not hungry but when you go longer juice fast you kinda miss chewing your food. I would wait at least a week for the liver flush but hey if you feel up to it go for it girl because they all help. Makes it one step closer to healing. Sometimes when you stay with it like that it gets you better faster. Good LUck on the juice fast and Liver flush Keep up the good momento!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In a message dated 2/8/2008 10:05:34 P.M. I had my liver blood work done about 3 weeks ago and everything looked good. I had lots of blood work done and everything was fine. From the test aspect of all this....I'm great! Guest guest
Hi Cherie and Beth, April's right...I had a ton of gut issues to the point I think I developed Leaky Gut. Everything I put in my mouth, even water, made me bloat. I no longer have gut symptoms...just the brain fog and vision stuff which could be from LG or it could be from toxins or both. A really great book is Digestive Wellness by Lipski. It explains all the things required for good digestion and how the gut is really central to the immune system. Very easy to read and a great reference! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0071441964 Basically what I did was eliminate dairy and gluten, take caprylic acid for 16 days and Fungal Defense for 2 weeks. I also take probiotics morning and night and digestive enzymes with each meal. (I know you can't do supplements too well, Cherie...this sounds crazy but I saw an article on how EFT helped a man rid himself of all sensitivity to foods and supplements. I'll try to dig it up.) Also, one thing I do is drink the liquid from sauerkraut occasionally...hated it at first but now it's delicious! Kefir might work well for you too. I just came back from a colonic and I really think it's helping a ton. The problem is you have to do several to really get to the old fecal matter that lines the pockets of the colon. Once you do that, absorption of nutrients increases and the chance for yeast decreases. She asked how my diet has been the last 2 days because she said she saw a lot of mucous (sorry if this is TMI!)and said I must have had some sugar. She was right! I had splurged on quite a few cookies a couple days ago just to see what would happen and obviously I'm not ready to do that yet. One thing she mentioned was that she thought I needed Oxypowder. I thought she was trying to just sell me something but she had mercury toxicity and systemic candida herself and swears by it. She told me to order it from amazon. I probably will. Remind yourself it just takes time. Our guts have major imbalances and it takes a while to change the ecosystem of it as well as heal any damage. Jordan Rubin had it bad and it took him 2 years. As far as the pain I had some too the other night but it felt like a bladder infection might be coming on. I took Patty's advice and drank Yogi Detox Tea...after 5 cups, no more pain. It has a lot of herbs and spices in it that are good for killing parasites. That might help with your gut too. Guest guest
Rogene, I kinda figured that being on the diet, probiotics and anti-fungal for 2 months I thought I would feel a little better, not worse. Am I expecting way, way too much? I was under the impression from the research I have done about candida that the " die off " would just last a few weeks at the most. Maybe I'm wrong. I was on Threelac from last September until December and then have been on a probiotic from my ND. Total now of over 5 months on probiotics. I have been using Oregacillin for my anti-fungal, my ND put me on that. I tried another enzyme about a week half ago to see how I would do and oh my....that some some painful gas and cramps! Very untolerable. Last time I tried a liver flush, I had itching all over by body that was unbearable. I've tried elminating foods but not no conclusion. Water will even give me that horrible sqeezing pain after drinking it. It's strange, sometimes water will be fine going down other times not. I use gas-x to get a little relieve but it does not last to long or sometimes it does not help at all. Maybe one day my body will just say " hey....we're doing better now " and proceed to work properly as long as I keep putting good stuff in me! Hugs Cherie > > Cherie, > > Probiotics/Antifungals can cause a Herx . . . i.e., you'll temporarily feel worse before feeling better. If you're not moving it out, you'll feel bad. > > Antifungal meds are like going after fungus with a nuclear weapon. . . The methods we usually recommend work much more gently and gradually. The trick is to manage the probiotics so you can tolerate the side effects until they disappear. I'd consider Three Lac or Acidopholis to be two of the more gentle probiotics. Caprylic Acid or Fungal Defense are harsher. I don't know what your doctor recommended. > > Digestive enzymes are supposed to add extra enzymes to help your body process food. You've have encourged me to do this hydrotherapy and do as many as I can afford and see if it helps me. Do you feel that your treatments really helped clear up your digestive problems? I was thinking....it would be great if I could just get a large hose, put it in my mouth, have everything in the hose that my body needs and just turn it on.....flush out everything bad....and put in everything good! Good idea? I have heard of Oxypower, I'll check it out. Thanks for the book info, I will look into that too. Thanks for all your advice! Guest guest
Hi Cherie, You're such a sweetie! I think my digestive symptoms cleared up from explant. I struggled for 6 years while they were in and then right after I had no problems. Also, I forgot to mention that Dr. Kolb put me on the prescription antifungal Nystatin oral powder at explant...helped immensely with bloating. I still take it but not as regularly as I should because there seems to be too many supplements and not enough hours in the day. I forget to take half of what I'm supposed to. So, I don't think it was my colonics that helped my gut feel better, it was more diet change, Nystatin and probiotics. My gut symptoms are gone but that doesn't mean it's healed. Like, a lot of people think that joint pain is just from something going on in the joint or that a headache is from something going on in the brain. According to that Digestive Wellness book, those things are likely caused by Leaky Gut (microscopic perforations in the gut from candida and other pathogens). Heal the gut and your health problems go away. So I'm using the colonics to help wash away candida and pathogens. I hate that it's $$$ but I think it's been worth it in the longrun. (And it does take several sessions til you get to the old stuff.) Ha! I totally have had that same vision of putting a hose down my throat and cleaning myself out once and for all!! It's so frustrating to feel bad from everything you put in your mouth. I can't believe I dealt w/ it for so long, but every doc said it's not related to the implants and that it was just IBS. When I looked up IBS, it didn't seem to fit that. Mine was was like yours...always just pain, bloating, discomfort...seemed like my body rejected almost everything. Same as you...sometimes I could drink water and be fine and then other times I reacted but never knew why. Did you have a stool analysis? Mine showed totally fine on everything. It was high for e coli but two docs said lots of people have high e coli and it was nothing to worry about...I wonder. Guest guest
, How do you do your coffee enemas? You do them daily? Don't they take a long time to make and time to do them? I have a very packed daily schedule, not sure if I have time for that. Let me know how to make it and how long does it take you? I have tried enemas but have not felt better. I've been eating plain organic yogurt for quiet a while, gives me more gas. Hugs, Cherie > > > > Cherie ~ > > I have moving pain........ I have moving p > > greatly with the gas. Guest guest
Is there a specific juicer that you recommend??? How long should I do a juice fast??? I was thinking of trying a liver flush and following with a 3 day juice fast. I do not think I could do much longer than that. Guest guest
Hi Beth! I have a Champion Juicer. Ours is the black one on this link http://www.championjuicer.com/models.html My husband checked out the different types of juicers because we wanted the type that Gerson Therapy recommends. The Champion was the same type but much less expensive brand. It's great because you can also make sorbet with it...just toss frozen cherries or frozen bananas in...the boys love it and so much healthier than ice cream. I use the Champion for vegetable juices because it takes out the pulp. Sometimes I add a little bit in for fiber. The kids love Waldorf juices (celery, granny smith apple and lemon together). For all fruit juices and smoothies though, I use a Vitamix because I like my fruit juices full of pulp and it's just easier clean up than the Champion Juicer. The Vitamix was a gift and to me I don't see how it's really any different than a blender except that it can blend veggies into hot soups (I've never used it in that way though). https://secure.vitamix.com/acb/stores/4/Vita-Mix-5200-P748C108.aspx I personally wouldn't have a Vitamix if it wasn't a gift. I don't see that it's worth the cost in any way. I would think a regular blender would do the same. As far as how long to do the fast...only you can determine that. I started out doing a one day fast here and there. Tried to do a 6 day but only lasted 2 1/2 days due to massive brain fog. Just depends on how your body reacts. I would think it eventually gets easier the more you do...at least I hope that's how it is. I really want to do a week long one! Love, PH > > Is there a specific juicer that you recommend??? Guest guest
Beth, You want a juicer that is easy to use so that you won't be put off with the effort of making juice. But you also want a juicer that is going to juice your fruits and vegetables in a healthy manner. You DO NOT want a centrifugal juicer. The reason for that is because the centrifugal force exposes those fragile enzymes to too much oxidation. You may ask, does it really make that much of a difference? The answer is YES, it does. The difference between a centifugal juicer and a masticating or twin gear juicer is the difference between life and death for those with cancer on the Gerson therapy! So, if you are going to invest in a juicer, you need to get one that effectively juices without damaging the fresh juice and the enzymes. I have a Green Life juicer, which uses twin gears to crush the vegetables and extract the juice. There is no accelerated oxidation, and no heat from an overworked motor. Hope that helps.
