Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Welcome to the group! Glad to have you! I can really relate to what you're saying. I am also a WW veteran and was only able to keep the lost weight off for about a year. I really hated the craziness and obsessiveness I felt while I was on the program. And after my last 'failed' attempt, I decided there had to be something better out there, found this support group and decided to give IE a try. That was five months ago, and it has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself! Good luck on your own IE journey! Hope you will find it as beneficial as I did! Best wishes, Jeanne
Guest guest
Welcome Kathy! I'm new as well, and I too identify with a lot of what you said. I'll do Intuitive Eating for a few weeks, start to think that I'm " not doing it right " or the process isn't progressing " fast enough " and then BAM: restriction, binging, purging and the like. I also am not overweight but feel uncomfortable after I eat most of the time and spend a lot of time thinking about food and weight. I'd really like to respect myself enough to exercise regularly, but my determination ebbs and flows. Although I don't contribute very much, I know the ladies (and gentlemen) on here are very nice and helpful because I read all the feeds. I hope you and I both can turn from caterpillars to butterflies in this group.
