Guest guest
Dawn, You had a busy morning. I know how hard it is to have only one vehicle. Ed and I have been there also. Wow you went to mcdonalds and were such a good girl. Big pat on the back. Glad to hear that your pain has been better lately. Ed is still suffering from the EMG he had done last week. As for plans this week, rest, rest and more rest. I might work in my garden a bit but looks like rain most of the week. I pulled out my cucumber plants yesterday since the pickle worm decided to attack them. I canned a dozen or so qts of pickles and gave many cumcumbers away. Ready for them to go anyway so I can replant something else in there place. Thanks for the birthday wish. It is my big 40. I think it is pretty cool that Teddi and I share the same day also. Never knew anyone with the same b-day and here in our little group there is 3 of us. What are your plans for this week? Take Care, > Good Monday, everyone!!! Just catching up on all the posts. Guest guest
Hi, . Thanks for the pat on the back....I was pretty proud of myself, too. LOL. I'm sorry to hear Ed is still sore from his EMG. Those tests are just plain evil. No other way to describe it. I hope he's feeling better very soon. Poor guy's been thru alot. Man, I wish I lived next to you, I would have loved some of those cucs. Yum!!! We can't keep them in the house. I've never attempted pickling or canning anything, but I just may give it a whirl this year since I'm home and all. I bought a bunch of mason jars and labels a couple years ago when I got the same brainstorm, but never followed through. A friend of mine makes sweet pickles with a cinnamon stick in each jar. I know it sounds like a strange combination, but are they ever delish!! I also plan on making strawberry freezer jam this year. I usually just get a couple jars from my Aunt, but I'd like to try it myself. I just love it on homemade toast in the morning with lots of butter (of course, can't be doing that now that I'm trying to behave myself.) I'm with Zanna.....love them comfort foods (however, all food comforts me....LOL). Wow, your big 4-0! That's even better. How are you feeling about that? I hear alot of women say that turning 30 bothered them more than 40. Strange. I've still got a year and half 'till I find out for myself how 30 will affect me, but I say " no big deal " (no cyber tomatoes, please...I know I'm the baby of the group). Hugs, Dawn PS.......Oh, to top off the day, kids and I drive clear back into town to pick up hubby at 5:00 and he comes over to the car just to tell me he has to go on another service an hour away and his boss will have to bring him home. UGH!!! Made that trip for nothing. Poor guy, he's gonna be zonked, especially not having worked for the last 7 mths. ( edsmary84 wrote: > Dawn, You had a busy morning. It sounds like you just kept " listening within " which is what I am trying to do! Thank you for sharing. p
