Guest guest
Just catching up with everyones posts, but wanted to post some info and get some feedback. My hsg done on July 9 revealed scarring in " the lower uterine segment " and " right fallopian horn " (right tube is open though). Dr Valle called me yesterday and said he cannot consult over the phone and that I would need to make an appt. I asked if I could make an appt for a consult and surgery for the same week and I did not get an affirmative answer. I read that all of you seeking specialists outside of your state have managed to get your consults and surgeries booked in the same week. Dr Valle didn't seem like he was going to be able to do this. This really has disappointed me! I currently have surgery planned for Aug 8 with my new RE. Any thoughts? M
Guest guest
, I have found the planning to be a real challenge. I set up my first appointment for a consult with Dr. Indman. They told me over the phone that he does not do phone consultations. I then FedEx'd all my records. Next I emailed him directly (thanks to a fellow member for giving me his email address) and let him know that I had a consult set up (on a Monday in hopes that I could have my first surgery in the same week) and that he would have my records in hand in the next day or so. I expressed how much I would appreciate him reviewing my records in advance in hopes that I could have surgery #1 during the same week. He reviewed them and told me who to contact regarding the possibility of setting up surgery during the same week. I had to book a return flight date, but I knew at the time that I would likely need to just pay the fee to change the date. We know that I will have repeat visits with him on a weekly basis, although those dates are not yet set. I hope to get those set after surgery on Wednesday so I can then work out transportation plans. In addition to other medical records, the only AS related records he has seen on me are an HSG done prior to my AS and the diagnostic hyst that caught my AS. I emailed him a brief synopsis of my medications, lack of periods, and few other details. I figure that getting the consult and procedure#1 set for the same week was the most I could hope for. Maybe you could find out if Dr. Valle has designated surgery days each week and perhaps schedule your consult at the start of the week in hopes of getting fit in for surgery. You could also ask his surgical scheduler how packed his surgery dates look. I only got the official confirmation that Wed surgery is a go yesterday but I fly there tomorrow. Until then I was only assuming this would work. Good luck, . You will be able to work it out if seeing Dr. Valle is what you want to do. Sounds like it is. -- J.
