Guest guest
Hi, Robin, What a great success story! The freedom from restrictive eating and restrictive thoughts must have felt to you like a get-out-of-jail-free kind of day. Isn't it amazing how clearly your body can communicate its needs and desires when you're not busy dictating to it? I wish you many, many more days like this because I know how very wonderful they feel. Hoorah for you! All best, Laurie Robin wrote: >>>I took my Dad to physical therapy today and while he was in there I had to run over to the store where they have my favorite cookies. I was really hungry since it was 12:00 by then and I had eaten breakfast at 8 so I bought the cookie and a piece of dark chocolate. I was going to eat it while he was getting his therapy but decided it really wasn't what I wanted (how crazy is that?) so I saved it. I decided to wait for my dad to get done and go out to lunch with him. I am vegan and I was wanting a humus and avocado wrap which I had along with 2 piece or cheese tortellini (not vegan). It was very good and totally hit the spot. I was full so I still didn't eat the cookie or chocolate. About 3 pm I had some grapes for a snack (which I wanted more then the cookie and dark chocolate ...very weird) and for dinner I had a small green salad and a couple of pieces of vegetarian pizza (with cheese so not vegan again). I am full now and I don't plan on eating the cookie and choc olate I bought. For me this is HUGE!!!!! I have never bought cookies and dark chocolate and not eaten them right away. I don't feel guilty about the pizza either. I would say I had a good day. This day was very out of character for me and my restrictor personality. One really wonderful thing I have noticed is the MUCH greater variety of foods I have been eating since I have be following Intuitive eating. I think I only had about a dozen foods that I allowed myself to have and not feel guilty about before and I would just repeat them which I know is not healthy. Yeah for progress!
