Well that's great! I have a question for you since you seem to be in

the know about this diet. I am on my 3rd day of the second phase and

I've noticed that I have gained a pound for the first time. Is this

common at the beginning of the first day. I am eating nuts for snack

do you think maybe I should cut those out or what? I'm going nuts over

here. I'm becoming more and more bloated since I started this second

phase. Help me!

eat exactly what the book says to eat. I'm on day 4 of phase 2 right now. SO i really don't understand it. So everything is introduced slowly. If I continue to gain I don't know what I"m going to do.

are you exercising as well? Perhaps your building muscle....Dawn

What the book says is too many to add in all at once. You should take out the phase II foods that the book says and add in one fruit and one whole grain a day and that's it for a week or so, then add in maybe another fruit. Add in slower than the book says. I've noticed that most people gain weight if they add back in too quickly and follow the book. Your body has to adjust to the added carbs. Carol

Cut back to the fruit, have an apple, 1/2 grapefruit

or some strawberries.. and only modified bread such as

starting to lose weight again...

Then just forget the book for a moment and only eat

only one or two servings of fruit a day... and perhaps

2 servings of modified bread <flat bread with the

necessary fiber content>

Try it that for a week or two and report back.. You

should not be gaining on this... but rather continuing

to lose...

Unless you are eating too many nuts (common problem

for some) or overdoing it with too much cheese..

I am not even buying the nuts

anymore....I can not stop eating them. This is great advice to watch

the nuts intake. I am sure this is what stalled my weight loss big

time. I did not eat any last week when I lost the 3 pounds. KATHY

Yes I am drinking 64 ounces of water religiously every day and I

have since day 1. I weighed myself earlier than I was supposed to

and so I weighed myself at my proper time. Either way I've gained

weight and it really bothers me.

I prefer lettuce anyway. I'm not a big spinach fan at all. When I

have to cook it in something though I use spinach but that's about

it. I normally just jump on the scale once a day. I just did it this

morning earlier than I was supposed to. I know it will fluctuate do

to what I eat and things like that. I get up around 8am and I eat

for the first time at noon. I normally weight myself around 11:30.

That shows the most accurate weight for me.
