Guest guest
Fresh spinach is only 1 gram of carb. I have looked in more than one source. Fitday and the USDA food database both say 1 gram. I cup of cooked spinach is 8 gram carb. I have a hard time believing spinach grown in your area is higher than everyone elses. I agree with you I think frozen spinach is nasty, but I think almost all veggies frozen are. Fresh spinach is a wonderful choice, the dark green leafy veggies have many more vitamins and other good stuff for us. Spinach is also a good source of calcuim. you need to stop weighing yourself. I used to be obsesive with the scale and I can tell you that my weight varied 5 lbs within the same day. I used to get up and weigh myself in the nude first thing. Then I brushed my teeth, took a shower, my vitamins and weighed again before dressing and I might be up 2 lbs. That's within maybe an hour. If I had a BM in that time period I might have been the same. There are so many things that can influence the number on the scale that you really only need to focus on an overall trend of one weight per week over several weeks. Guest guest
Carol You are one of my idols. Any diet you follow you will be able to lose weight if you follow it. Losing is hard but maintaining is where you are really tested. You hit a very long plataue but you never gave up and just kept going. A lot of people would have given up gained some or all weight back and just looked for another diet. In the time you weren't losing you were gaining something very valuable. The ability to eat in a way that is healthy for you. In my opinion you have done something pretty incredible. Barb --- Carol Parsons wrote: > Losing weight is not going to be easy, it never is. Guest guest
Carol is right A very low carb diet is just very de-hydrating and you really lose a lot of water weight. The very low carb diet is also just really to low in calories and is very un-healthy for long term and not sustainable for the rest of your life. --- Carol Parsons wrote: > You still shouldn't be looking at carbs. Guest guest
- What is happening in June that is so ultra important to lose all this weight. I seriously doubt you will lose 44 more pounds in another month. June is only 36 days away. Re: CHF & Weight Gain 2nd Phase I'll just try to be patient. Patience is not my speciality. I've been frustrated since day 1 more now because this is my first time gaining in 32 days. My mom is on this diet as well so I can't quit because I'll never hear the end of it. So I will lose this weight. 44 more pounds to go. I know I can do it. How long do you recommend I stay on the tape before I move on to a different one? I only have 1 and I can't find anymore at any store. I might have to visit ebay.> Losing weight is not going to be easy, it never is. And if you lose it too fast, it will just come right back on. If you get too frustrated, then you will give up and not lose at all. This is something that takes patients. You ARE going to gain and then lose and then gain again, and then lose. If you let your body get too low in calories, your body will think it is starving and it will hold onto every fat cell and won't let them go (starvation mode). Guest guest
That's shorts time! LOL that's about it. I want to get as close as possible to my goal anyway by that time. Guest guest
---, U. S. D. A. " THE " last word on nutrition component. If you have any questions about whats in your food, please use that site. I gave you the URL, did you save it? Its foolish to argue over spinach. Its a wonderful substance for your body. If you were on a desserted island, pray there was spinach there. Its THAT good. If you don't care for it, hide it in other dishes, like the confetti chicken. You don't notice it mixed w/ the other flavors but still get the benefits. Only starchy veggies are things to be concerned about. Guest guest
--- , I hate to rain on your parade with shorts weather coming, but that cannot happen. 44 pounds can NOT be lost in 4 weeks or 6 weeks or 8 week or...on and on and on. Its not fair to your body to set yourself up for that type of dissapointment. 1/2 to 2 pounds a wk is all the FAT @3500 CALORIES PER POUND, your body can burn, it just can't happen any faster without using muscle tissue. Any time you see on TV that the 'contestants' have lost alot of weight is when they spend SEVERAL hours a day in a gym, working out w/ professional trainers that work them to within an inch of their lives, they are fed strict diets made for them by Dietitians, and are under a doctors supervision at all times. Then its NEVER the girls who lose that drastically, we are just not genetically made to drop that kind of weight, baby carrying creatures that we are. Our hormones will not allow it. Please try to get into the 'slow and steady wins the race' mindset that we all try to adopt as healthy. Kay " " > That's shorts time! LOL that's about it. Guest guest
Hi ... Depending on your size your could possibly drop 5 or 6 pounds a week... But to drop 44 pounds in 36 is way to much.. and I highly doubt that is possible. I have personally seen people drop 5-6 pounds a week consistantly for many months until nearing their goal weight.. but once you get close the rate of loss does slow down some. I think 20 pounds in a month is more realistic but you would have to eat only certain foods to do it.. and a lot of this will depend on what your weight is presently.. I would not like to see someone that has a starting weight of " under " 200 pounds drop this fast.. --- wrote: > > That's shorts time! LOL that's about it.
