Congrats JO!!

I've been working with The Appetite Awareness Workbook and I noticed one place where I was having difficulty and that was eating in front of the TV. When I stopped eating in front of the TV my eating felt so normal. I was eating what I wanted, noticing what and how much I was eating and I stopped when I felt moderately full. For approximately 1-2 weeks I have felt so normal eating all because of not eating in front of the TV. Last night I ate in front of the TV again and I reverted right back to overeating, constantly going back and forth to the cupboard as I did not experience my food and I really don't remember eating. I remember when I was younger and a normal eater, I was eating at the table with no distractions. Then we got a TV on wheels and would turn the TV for meals and I do believe that is where all this started. Of course dieting did nothing to help me as it only caused me an eating disorder. I feel like I have kicked an

addiction of sorts. I would gladly give up eating in front of the TV to eat the way I have eaten lately. I have a lot of stress at work, which I feel is the reason I've been hanging onto some extra weight (not a big deal to me) so I know I need an outlet and that outlet is my recreational boxing, which I only need to do one night a week and I do love it so.

Thanks,

Jo.
