Guest guest
Eliza, I tend to use a bottle. I'm not sure why since I work at home and can get a glass anytime. I think it's left over from my days of carrying a water bottle around. I even had a special holder to carry it over my shoulder! I know there is talk about health concerns when using a plastic bottle, but I don't know all the facts. I've decided to use a bottle and I will reuse a bottle a few times but then I recycle it. And if the bottle has been exposed to any heat, from being in the car, or if my husband puts one in the dishwasher thinking he is being helpful, I recycle it because I do know that heat will cause plastic to leach into the water or whatever is in it. But overall, I just think bottles are more convenient. And my cats walk all over my desk all day long while I'm working, so a bottle prevents spilling as well. Here's something weird about me and bottles - I do drink Diet Coke. It's something I want to cut down on. I call it my last "vice" because I don't binge anymore and I don't have any other habits like smoking or drinking. I got into Diet Coke while dieting, imagine that. It was something to drink that had no calories but felt like a food. I also used it to transition throughout the day. When I would drive home from personal training (many years ago), I would stop at the store and get one. I would also have one before dinner. Just weird stuff. But here's the really weird part - I only like to drink it out of plastic bottles. Cans used to be ok, but not in the last few years. And my preference is a 20oz bottle! I buy the six packs of 16 oz bottles because they are much cheaper, but I would have 20 oz bottles only if price weren't an issue. I know the Diet Coke thing is common among chronic dieters and former dieters. It's been really surprising to me to find out how many people have the same issue, even others that have become intuitive eaters and even my mentor! There's my confession for the day! Which one would likely drink water with glasses or bottle? I hope I am making sense. Anyway I have noticed lately that whenever my bottle start to empty I would go fill it up from my Brita pitcher. That way I do not have to buy too many bottles every time. It would waste money but I do reuse the bottle over many times that way. Anyway yeah I am curious the response from everyone.Eliza
