Guest guest
Hello , It's so good to hear that 's doing well. I remember how sick she was. Thanks for keeping us posted on her progress, and please make sure to take care of your own health. You were under a tremendous amount of stress in your quest to help , and now it's time to think of yourself. Guest guest
Hi ,It's so good to hear from you and that is doing so much better.Sending you both healing hugs and prayers.Love Traciasskickingmom <asskickingmom@...> wrote: 's primary treatment now is ginger supplements to reduce inflammation with daily probiotics and raw garlic to help in the battle against candida. Diet and weight control efforts are also high on the list. Later this year I will find a neurologist to get follow up MRI's of her brain. A year ago all of the brain lesions were in various healing stages. Her ANA was still very high 1:2560 but all the other test markers were negative. 's health insurance decided they would no longer cover anything related to breast implant complications. She now has Medicare and Medicaid coverage that started a few months ago. Our search for some effective rehab continues. There seems to be little support available unless a person has had a stroke. Acquired brain injuries that aren't related to motor skills seem to be a mystery to most professionals. I think there's still a lot to be learned about what the brain can do. I'll try to get in here more often. A majority of my own problems are from the stress of still working full time while dealing with 's issues for the past three years. I know we will be okay. > > > > Greetings to everyone!!! > > > > May 25th was 's second anniversary for en bloc explant. Her > > recovery continues. Guest guest
~ How wonderful you are to be so supportive to your daughter and do all you do to survive. You do need to be sure and care for yourself too ! I am so sorry your daughter got so sick from those safe implants. With the FDA, drug companies, surgeons, and doctors all saying that they are safe and that implants dont have anything at all to do with any illness, (a matter of fact I heard they can actually lengthen your life) , I am surprised an insurance company would take it upon themselves to think they are smarter than all of them..and agree that implants caused all your daughters medical problems ! ! Yes, I am being a smart A & *$@....... What insurance company decided that her problems were implant related? Boy, this one otta go to .....perhaps he can do another SICKO on this subject ! ! I smell a rat ! ! a big dirty one ! ! I am glad to hear she had the coverage of medicare and medicade so she can get help. I tell you, this must have been a long haul for you both. I pray she has a good report when she has her MRI ! Hugs N Prayers ~ Dede Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch "Cooking with Tyler Florence" on AOL Food. Guest guest
, So glad to hear is doing better. She is a poster child for this group. Her case is an example of how very sick one can get with implants, and yet manage to recover once they are out. You are Super Mom! Don't forget to take care of yourself too! Guest guest
,One of our friends essentially rehabbed himself, long after the doctors told him he would never walk, talk or drive again following a massive stroke. He's doing all three now. He spent his days at a senior center where he worked out with machines. The brain grows new cells throughout ones entire life. It's our job to train them. . . I'd look for ANYTHING that will stimulate 's brain . . . Puzzles, stories, writing, math, games, exercise, dancing, etc. . . . anything but vegging out!She may qualify for Medicare therapy . . . but, unless she's showing steady progress, it will be cut off. . . even then, there are limits as to how much therapy can be covered during given periods. Maybe you can find a support group where she could work with comprised of people who survived accidents as well as strokes. . . The challenges are much the same, regardless. . . .The key factor is hanging in there though! . . . Once someone decides they CAN'T do something, the only thing certain is that they won't.Love,Rogene
