Hello Patty ~

You sound so well and full of energy and I am

so happy your arm is feeling better ! ! That is

awesome.

You will be leaving for your camping trip tomorrow

how fun that will be ! !

WE all sure miss you, and are so happy you are

doing so well.

What an inspiring letter you wrote us all, and

encouraging too ! Sometimes during the storm

we forget to dream and set goals. Sometimes

we have to set them every day because every

day is so different, but we will eventually

reach them. I told my daughter the other day

that she needs to be sure and dream while she

is awake. At first she didnt understand what

I meant by that, then it clicked.

Have a wonderful time, watch out for bears.

God Bless you !

Hi Ladies

Good morning to all of you beautiful ladies,I wanted to say Hi...I miss communicating regularly with you all! I am doing very well, and ever since I cut out my estrogen pills before bed, my arm pain has gone away. That was an eye opener....and confirms the need to be very cautious with hormone replacement therapy. I am not certain yet when and if I will be adding it back in, but will monitor my health and see what needs to be tweaked. So far, so good! I just really want to lose some extra weight, and I find dieting hard to do.Thursday I will be taking my teenagers to Yosemite National Park to camp and do some incredible sightseeing. We are pretty excited, and especially me because I have not camped in 4 years and I won't have my strong and capable husband along to help out! (He has to go to Alaska). So, I am looking forward to the getaway...and hope I don't see too many bears up close! Let me encourage you.....I want to encourage you ladies to reach for your goals. Set them and never give up! It's never too late to set new goals and start a new path in life that will let you do what you dream of doing. Healing goals are good, and I know how hard it is when your body does not cooperate with you, but at the same time, you can set new goals for trying a new therapy, eating better, doing a fast, or whatever God lays on your heart. For some of you, that will mean writing out your story to bless someone else. Or reading a book that you haven't gotten to. Or any number of things. I just want to encourage you to DO THEM. Our lives slow down when we get sick, but they don't stop....there is always something out there that you can do to be a blessing to others. It's purpose that gives our life meaning. We are a blessing to others! And there are people out there who want to bless us in return.God has taken me through an incredible season of growth this past winter. He is so good! Today is a new opportunity to reach your goals, just as tomorrow will be another blessing of 24 hours in which to accomplish those things that He has set out for us to do. It's so easy to lose sight of those things we've dreamed about...but each day is a new chance to reach those goals if we set our minds on it. Never give up! I think about you guys all the time....and pray for your wellbeing and healing. Lynda, Rogene, everyone...too many to name...God bless. Talk to you soon,Patty

Subject: hi Ladies

Good morning, I am new to the group and wanted

to share a little bit about myself. I am 41 years old and happily married, I

live on the east coast and had a gastic bypass two years ago.

Prior to that I weighed 450 lbs and was having severe health problems. We had

tried everything prior to that but things were not going well. Since then I had

lost 200 lbs. My mother passed away 3 months ago and during the process I

gained 20 lbs back. So I am currently sitting at 275. I am struggling to get

back down to 250 and then my ultiment goal of 200 lbs. So I decided to look

online for support and new ideas.

I've been heavy all my life, since 10 years old I've been overweight so I've

been there and done that... tried every diet known to mankind and a few of my

own lol... I look forward to exploring the group and learning more..

blessings,

Merrry

How have you been doing?

symptoms but I still battle chronic fatigue, minor joint pain in my fingers

compared to everywhere pre explant, and my immune system is weak. I was able to

breastfeed for years after surgery incase anyone has that concern post explant.

My surgery was with Dr. Melmed and so I can only say breastfeeding worked out

fine after his procedure.

,

I've been doing awesome, thanks for asking! No complaints here. Just living

life and trying to fit everything in---and that is my biggest challenge! I get

way more busy than I want to be.

No symptoms that are troubling me anymore, at least none of the major ones, like

you. I got stung by a scorpion in April 2009, and that sent me to the hospital

with double vision and all over body tingling, so that was a little frightening

since it was a strange reaction that the medical people rarely see. But other

than that, doing great.

Had some recent tests that showed Vit D was on the way lower end of normal...not

good! And can you believe, that was with 5000 IU supplementation of Vit D3? So

I am beefing up my Vit D3 pills for awhile. Vit D is VERY IMPORTANT for our

health, and I encourage everyone to get your Vit D checked. It is that

important for cancer prevention.

I hope you connect with Kacey. She isn't around too much so she must be

enjoying life also!

Have you checked for a dairy allergy? If I have dairy in my diet, I do not

absorb nutrients. My supplements have to be vegan.

I've found that Now brand aloe vera gels are a good addition to have as well. I

take it for my heart condition along with Resveratrol.

I take D3 drops except right now because I have a heart test coming up and it's

hard enough being invisibly sick that I need to go in supplement free for my

tests.
