Guest guest
It has been 5 days since my saline implant surgery. I am a full C cup, and other than the normal pain I hear is common, I have a lot of bloating. I weighed myself before surgery and have discovered my weight is up 6-7 lbs from five days ago. I havn't been eating heavily, and have been taking laxitives and am going to the bathroom regularly. I am not sure why my stomach and hips are so bloated. Is this normal to look like you're pregnant right after surgery?
Guest guest
Hi Kitcat,Are you in the US or Canada or perhaps a different country? I'm in Canada.I'm not a doctor so I'm not sure what would be causing the bloating however, keep in mind you've been through a major surgery recently and had anaesthetic. My guess is too, it would depend on how you were implanted. My implantation was 20 years ago and I experienced the "puffing".There are a lot of women on this board who have been implanted and have had them removed due to complications and illness (I'm in this category). There are those who still have them. There are also those who are contemplating getting the implants. We are here not to judge but to give support. Please read through the archives and older posts. There is a ton of information here.Stay close.Hugs & hope,Traci"Feeling down? Saddle up." ~Author Unknown From: kitcat28455 <kitcat28455@...>Subject: Bloating after implants? Guest guest
Hi KitCat, I was implanted 6 years ago and within 6 months of surgery I began bloating after evey meal. Surgery requires antibiotics and as a consequence, candida (yeast) can develop which can cause bloating. Since I'm not a doctor, I don't want to say for sure that's what you have. When I went to gastroenterologists, they told me there was no connection with the bloating and implants and that it was just IBS. I believed them and lived with it until my body basically shut down and I became very ill. I don't want to scare you, yet I don't want you to make the same mistake I did. If I were you I would call or email Dr. Kolb www.plastikos.com She was my explanting surgeon and when I asked her about the bloating she said it was from candida and prescribed Nystatin and diet recommendations. She also has a blood test to see if your genetic makeup can tolerate implants (although in my opinion, no implant is safe). Take care of yourself and if you have any other questions, ask away. ~ PH --- In , " kitcat28455 " <kitcat28455@...> wrote: > > It has been 5 days since my saline implant surgery. Guest guest
Hi KitCat, I just wanted to clarify that when I suggested you contact Dr. Kolb at www.plastikos.com, I wasn't recommending that you be explanted right away. Dr. Kolb is extremely knowledgeable, has implants herself and can give you the proper advice . Do your research, listen to your body and go from there. Good luck. ~ PH > >> > It has been 5 days since my saline implant surgery. I am a full C > cup, > > and other than the normal pain I hear is common, I have a lot of > > bloating. Guest guest
Wow, I'm glad you mentioned Dr. Kolb. She is my Doctor that did the surgery here in Atlanta. I see her again on Monday thank you so much for your input! > > > > It has been 5 days since my saline implant surgery.
