Guest guest
Hi ,Welcome to !It doesn't sound like you had the best type of explant. Are you experiencing any swelling/redness? This can be very painful. If you can't wear a sports bra, you might try binding yourself with pressure bandages. I think they come in 6-inch widths that would work well for you. Pressure will help push the fluids out - however painfully. Unfortunately, if you don't start feeling better you may have to have another surgery to get those capsules out. . . However, many women have gotten better with retained capsule and without drains. . . It just isn't something we'd recommend because it's better done right the first time. Most doctors would have you believe it's OK to leave the capsules behind . .. that women's health problems aren't related to implants . .. then, as if to prove their point, leave the capsules behind. If you've been symptomatic, it's best to get those capsules out.Are you familiar with detoxing? managing fungal issues? . . . Please ask whatever questions you have. You may not be delighted with the answers, but we'll do everything we can to help you get back to your life again.Hugs and prayers,Rogene
Guest guest
> Your explant experience sounds like mine. I got implants at 18 and had them removed 5 years later because I was so ill. The plastic surgeon did not use drains or remove the capsules. My health improved very little after explant. I had my capsules removed 5 weeks ago in Ohio. I'm finally getting better! Has anyone been explanted without drains. I was at 12 weeks and would > like advice such as what type of bra to be wearing since a sports bra > is rubbing my crease incision bad? Guest guest
I was explanted without drains. My chest was very bruised--totally black and blue--for a few weeks. That would have been avoided with drains. I wore a sports bra, but mine was very soft and didn't hurt...have you been explanted for 12 weeks, or explanted 12 weeks after implant? I couldn't quite understand from your post. My experience with explant was very good as I had a good surgeon. I am really sorry to hear that your capsules were left in. Have you been really ill? If you have had symptoms such as those listed on our web home page, you will have to work very hard to heal, but most likely you will have to have a second surgery to get those capsules out. Most women who have symptoms will not heal well with the retained scar capsules in place. I've known many, many women who have had to get the capsules out because despite all of their efforts to get better, they just would not get better. Hopefully you have not had all of the many symptoms many of us have had. Stay close, we will be here for you if you need us. Patty > > Has anyone been explanted without drains. Guest guest
Glory 2 Glory Just to clarify - I was explanted after only having implants for 12 weeks. So they were only in my body for 3 months.
