Developed for healthcare providers, this presentation will include information on both the physical and psychological care of clients with HIV infection. Nutrition Care Process Workshop ($30)Thursday, March 11th1:00pm to 3:00pm—2 CEUsThis program will cover the four steps of the Nutrition Care Process as it relates to a variety of settings. Standard language and documentation will be covered. Parenting Children with AutismThere are a spectrum of disorders that currently fall under the umbrella called Autism. Prevalence is currently estimated at 1 in every 150 children is being diagnosed; however, they are being diagnosed much older than expected. Once diagnosed, parents do not know how or where to seek services to help their children. Thisprogram will describe diagnoses and address parental concerns. Speaker: L. Lobar, PhD, ARNP-BC, PNP

Creating Healthy Nutritious Diets for Autism Spectrum DisordersThis program will discuss the link between the brain and the gut as well as compare the most commonly used dietary interventions. The back to basics medical nutrition therapy for growth and development will be covered. Counseling Children Victims of Sexual AbuseThere are many ways children experience the harm that results from having been sexually abused. It is important to understand the reasons why children do not seek help at the time of the abuse and be able to identify the warning signs of abuse. This program will discuss the protocols and practices for assessment as well as teach participants how to use TF-CBT with sexually abused children. Speaker: Xiomara , LCSW

Why Men Commit Sex Offenses: Implications for Treatment and ManagementThis program will present personality variables that lead to sexual offending. How these variables lead to recidivism and how to address these in treatment will be addressed. Effective management of risk will also be covered. Speaker: Szechowicz, PhD

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers ($75) Saturday March 27th9:00am to 3:00pmAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)This course is conducted in affiliation with the American Heart Association. During this 5-hour course participants will learn all aspects of adult, child and infant CPR skills including proper ventilation with various barrier methods, proper AED use, and choking relief. This is an instructor led course using didactic, video-based learning, hands-on practice and

return demonstration methods of training. Upon successful completion of a written exam, a 2-year American Heart Association card will be issued along with a continuing education certificate for 5.0 contact hours. Speaker: Sara Mesi, RN, BSN

The documentary goes beyond popular conceptions linking health to medical care, lifestyles, and genes to explore evidence of other more powerful determinants: the social conditions in which we are born, live and work. Challenging the nation’s approach to prevention, which is limited to encouraging healthy behaviors and managing individual risks, Unnatural Causes spotlights the growing body of evidence demonstrating the need for more “upstream†policies that provide everyone the opportunity for good health.
