Guest guest
Thank you Rogene and Dede for your encouragement. It's been 8 days after the surgery and I'm looking way better than I ever expected and doing good healing-wise. Despite my chronic fibro/chest muscle pain which is worse (but I guess that's to be expected with all the chest trauma and new toxins flying around my body). The left breast which hurt more before the explant, & hurt more during de-tubbing is also hurting still. For now I'm applying silicone sheets to treat my scars but I'm not sure if I should be massaging the scars or not. When I had implants done the surgeon told me to massage the scars hard 3 times per day with vit E cream. New research says that vitamin E cream itself either has no effect or makes scars worse off. Any thoughts ladies? Thanx in advance Mika. > > Thanks Mika . . . > It sounds likethe placement of your implants was putting pressure on a critical nerveto begin with! . . . Your description of your pain after implant, discomfort with drains, and pain on removalisn't common. But as you've found out, it can happen. . I remember only one other women comment how painful removing the drains was. . . For me, it just felt like a quick, slight tug - then it was over. No pain at all. However, one might take a pain medication before going to have the tubes removed if they are concerned. . . > Regardless, life begins again! . . . You'll probably look even better as time goes by . . . maybe bigger than with implants! . . . The body has a way of adjusting after implants that can be surprising. > Please keep us posted on how you do. If you need any detox suggestions, this is the place! > Be sure to drink plenty water and eat well . . . no junk! Your body will thank you mightly. > Hugs and prayers, > Rogene >
Guest guest
Mika, I definitely would not massage the scars . . . and, personally, I wouldn't use the silicone sheets until you saw there was a problem. . . Chances are excellent you won't have a scar problem anyway. Do wear a snug, but comfortable sports bra 24/7 so any internal scar tissue will work to shape you up nicely. And drink lots and lots of water! Hugs, Rogene
