Guest guest
Hi MH, and welcome. I'm sorry to hear that you are sick. We've been down this road, so we know what you are going through. It's a very tough pill to swallow when we were convinced that our implants were safe. I'll answer your questions with my answers, below: > > hello- > just a few questions for those who have undergone explantation. i had > had my saline implants for 10 years, and became sick 7 mos ago with a > lot of the same symtpoms on this site. > > -did you ever notice any change in the feeling of your breast/implant > when you became ill (i.e. sore, burning, more rippling in implant)? Prior to becoming deathly ill, my implants had hardened and I was told by my plastic surgeon to roll around on the floor--on my chest. The implants had seemed to harden after a period where my breasts felt very hot, like they were fevered. They also squeaked (which was totally bizarre.) > -i know there are no tests to prove breast implants are the cause to > ones illness, but have any of you had any silicone poisoning test or > any other lab tests to help make more sense of implants causing it > all (i.e. mold, fungus, bacteria, etc)? Dr. Pierre Blais analyzed my implants and told me that the mold and fungus inside my implants would be the equivalent with my living with two large abcesses in my body for two years. But, I had no testing by any doctor that would prove a bacteria, fungal or any other infection. > -one of my symtpoms are headaches in the back of my head that > somewhat tingle and burn and feel tight. has this been a symptom for > any of you? Yes, I had headaches, as well as a dull ache in the back regions of my brain, down toward the stem. My head hurt so bad that I could not turn over in bed without having to practically lift my own head with my hands! It was so uncomfortable. > -i just had a repeat ANA by EIA test come back negative. i had 3 > positive ANA's within the last 6 mos by the other testing method, and > i still have all of my symptoms that vary from day to day. has this > happened to any of you? I have never had a positive ANA, but I did have a positive rheumatoid factor and lowered C3 complement. > -i just started seeing a Naturpathic Physician - any recommendations > for those of you that have had success? Naturopathic doctors understand our illness more than other doctors. The key to success is regular detoxing: treating for any viral, fungal or bacterial loads, getting rid of heavy metals, creating efficient eliminative organ function (through detoxing, of course) eating correctly, and supplementing any nutritional AND HORMONAL deficiencies. > > i'm sure i will have a million more, but these are just a few that > i've been thinking about lately. > thank you!!!
