Guest guest
, Oh, yeah, it sounds familiar. It sucks but it is temporary. You will improve, though it will take time. Most women recover slowly over two years, though some take longer (like me) and others seem to bounce right back. Try and keep a symptom journal to track your progress and see what helps and what triggers you. You might also want to have your hormones tested in a month or so. A lot of us have endocrine imbalances due to this illness. xo Bindi
Guest guest
Hi ,I'm sorry you are having your symptoms come back. Try keeping a journal of how you feel. You'll find if you keep track you're doing a lot better than you were.I look at my own case and I think to myself, I'm doing so much better than I was.Sending hugs & hope,Traci"Feeling down? Date: Friday, June 27, 2008, 10:26 AM Hello ladies, Well I am 6 weeks post explant and have had a resurgance of symptoms this week. I had really hoped this would not happen to me. Body aches, swelling, skin rashs, etc. Feels like I am back at the beginning. How many of you experienced this and how long does it last? I have read that this is normal and once you push through this you really begin healing. Please tell that is true. Hugs to all,
Guest guest
Hi , I had this type of thing happen after explant, and sometimes it would only last a day or two, and very rarely it would last about a week. This continued for a couple of years but as time went by it happened less and less. Generally I could trace it back to something I did - getting my hair highlighted seemed to cause a flare-up (and once in a while still does), getting a pedicure did, too, as did cleaning with chemical cleaning products. It might not be a bad idea to keep the journal that Traci suggested, because that might also help you to pinpoint something that caused a flareup. It may be possible that nothing caused it to happen, but pay attention to foods you eat and things you may come in contact with. Guest guest
Hi , I am so glad you are explanted...but unfortunately this resurgence of symptoms is all too common. I had it, and I did feel worse than before. It was not alot of fun. But yes, you will overcome all of this! I am so much better that I can forget that I ever had implants. It took alot of years, but it does happen, so keep up your resolve to stay focused on good and happy thoughts of healing and recovery. Don't let yourself dwell on the negatives (I know it is hard when you feel so awful.) My recurrence of symptoms lasted quite awhile. I wanted to feel better so badly that I got depressed several times, and even suicidal. I don't want to say this to alarm you, but to let you know that it is quite normal to feel this bad. I wish it weren't so, and perhaps you will heal much faster than I did. Some women do. But I kept up the detoxing and kept pushing on and eventually my body climbed out of that hellhole and back into the land of the living. It was a long 4 years. But I made it, and you will too. Are you working, or at home full time to recover? I hope that you are free to stay home and take care of yourself, but if you have to work, keep yourself away from stress as much as possible. Hopefully you won't have a difficult or stressful job. The most important thing I can tell you is that through the dark days of these months of healing find the purpose in each day. Even if that purpose is to rest and meditate and pray. Set goals for yourself that are attainable so you can feel good about your accomplishments. Focus on good nutrition. Read about healing, find a new hobby to help you feel satisfaction. Stay connected to upbeat and uplifting people that encourage you. Stay away from toxic personalities. Try to allow yourself to be as normal as possbile without stressing or worrying about things that you can't do. In time you will see slow, gradual improvements. If you do not, then it is time to bump up the detoxing efforts, or take care of a deficiency in your body that has been overlooked. It's a long, slow climb out of this pit, rather than an easy journey on a flat road. That was my experience. And that is why we are here...because we know you will need support along the way.
