Guest guest
Janine ~ Of all the people implanted, there are only some who report in problems, this makes the numbers not realistic. But like I stated in doing the math just on necrosis, for one year ! around 18,000 people will have their breast tissue die, and an implant will expel itself out of ones body ! After a couple years about 30 percent of all implanted people get capsular contracter where the scar tissue around the implant is full of organisms and becomes hard and distorted, and is very painful, that is approximately 112,000 people for one year ! ! ! ! ! Those are NOT small numbers. Here is part of my story, remember once your immune system is attacked, it leaves your whole body open for attack by who knows what, it becomes haywire and goes crazy. Many of us also have repeated cancer ! http://www.humanticsfoundation.com/dede.htm , please read my story, this is only a small part of it. Right at this moment I am in the middle of possibly having stomach cancer and lung cancer. I have lupus, and my grandmother had it. My doctors believe that I have chemically induced lupus, meaning from all the chemicals of the silicone that was in me. Actually I currently have old saline filled silicone implants and have been too ill to have a surgery to have them removed. When they were put in, it was after I had the entire contents removed from my chest due to a massive silicone spill back in 1994, and I was so ill they didnt think I would live more than 5-10 years . The doctors were WRONG ! ! In 2005 when my heart, lungs, kidneys and liver all failed, they sent me home to die, and here I am, alive and kicken, and I am dayumn determined to get better ! I have a very strong will, and loads of faith, that will take you places ! I think besides being so ill, and having so much pain for all these years, the worst part is actually missing out on life, and engaging in activities with my kids, and now my grandkids. All my money has gone to medical care, a matter of fact, I now live on about 900 a month and I owe for 8 hospital visits . I have to keep my phone tied up because the collectors keep my phone ringing off the wall, and I get about 30 pieces of mail from medical billing, collectors, and attorneys all trying to collect monies from me, and I have nothing to give them. I am on disability, but have a small bit in retirement that I cant touch til I am 59 1/2, or it will be about worthless due to taxes and penalties, but that keeps me from qualifying for financial help. I need a roof on my house so badly, there are many leaks in it, so when it rains, I have to stay up catching the water so that worse damage doesnt happen. Anyway, I am not meaning to dump my life on you, but do you think your daughter would be happy with fake boobs so she can live a life like this ? ? It is soooo not worth it ! ! No one thinks they will be a statistic......... If your daughter is adult enough to have implants, then I would say that she should be willing to do her homework first, and wait on having them til she has read up on all the sites I sent you, and make a truly informed decision. Then if she makes a go at it, she will know the true consequences of her actions ahead of time. We will all be here to support you , and her through her journey. Ya know, I was a known massive silicone rupture back in 1994, and I tried to donate my blood to studies that were being done, and no-one wanted it ! ! ! Of course, all the studies done and or funded by the drug companies, or implanting doctors. All the people that have a monetary desire to keep them on the market ! Those of us in support groups have no monetary means of educating people in the truth about implants, only true humanity and the desire to help save lives. Guest guest
Janine ~ Oh, my, this is horrible ! ! She hasnt finished developing her breasts yet. You dont stop til around 25 or so, then they change with pregnancies too. A so called deformity is not " medical necessity " ! ! ! Every single person has differences, and it doesnt mean it is a deformity ! This is criminal ! This man should be in jail ! ! I would highly investigate this person. I would find out how many people he has implanted, explanted, how many complaints he has had, how many deaths, how many satisfied people, unsatisfied, the works ! He is preying on people by telling them they are deformed or not up to par one way or another just to pad his pockets ! ! Totally criminal ! ! ! This is no different that a child predator as far as I am concerned ! Call insurance companies and ask if they cover people with breast implants. I CANNOT get life insurance ! ! because of my breast implants ! ! ! Nor can I get the insurance if you die, your house will be paid for either ! ! Guest guest
Patty ~ By getting an attorney, it is not for sueing them it is for getting a court order for that doctor to not be able to mame her daughter. She is 19 and the doc told her she was deformed which, is not truthful. This doctor is going against his hippocratic oath, first do no harm, by lieing, and by telling her she is deformed, he is hurting her. Not to mention he is planning on putting poisen bags into her chest. If he was a doctor to be trusted, then he wouldnt lie so he could use a poisenous product in her surgery, he would have told her that at her age, her only option of implant type was saline ! Guest guest
Hi Janine, I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this issue. I know how concerned you are as a parent. I had a stepdaughter that lied to me about getting breast implants, and it was very hurtful. When I had told her about my nightmarish experience, she was grateful and said that I had " saved her life " and she would never get them. Well, it turned out that she later got them anyway, for free, by working for the plastic surgeon. It's bad enough that she got them, but now she even counsels women about getting them in her job! Needless to say, it put a strain on things. I am not knowledgeable about any attorneys in San , and I'm wondering about the fact that she is 19 years old---doesn't that legally allow her to make decisions on her own about her body? I think rather than go to an attorney, I would contact the FDA directly, since it is their " laws " or rules, or whatever you want to call them that are being violated. I would ask them how you can enforce their policy in this situation. Litigation with breast implants has rarely been successful and the manufacturer's know this. They lost big in the early years, with cases such as Stern vs Dow Corning, San Francisco; Toole vs Baxter, Alabama, and Mahlum vs Dow Chemical, Reno. They went to work getting the tide turned with huge public relations campaigns to cause doubt. All they needed was a little seed of doubt planted to halt the lawsuit victories. It's been a done deal ever since. That doubt won them not only victory in court, but the reintroduction and acceptance of breast implants all over the world. I guess women will get what women want. You can see how difficult this is when women have their mind set on getting new breasts. For me, the biggest reason to stop women from getting breast implants at such a young age is to protect the future children of America. Have you discussed with her the implications to her future financial stability and the health of her family? I hope the men in this country will wake up and take stock of what breast implants may do to their future if they marry a woman who has implants. Maybe the key is getting men educated about this issue so that their rejection of breast implants will keep women from seeking them. (Anyone think we have a chance at that?????) Guest guest
I still think the FDA nees to be involved. Getting an attorney might help if you can find one, but I'd go at it from both sides!
