Guest guest
Ruth, I am sorry I missed your post on the meningitis question. I have been in hiding over the summer. We have taken every opportunity while everyone has been healthy to enjoy life. I also was questioning the menangitis shot for Todd...Penn State also required it for him to live in the dorms. His translant coordinator said that it was okay for him to have it. He just got it on Monday and everything went fine. He was also required to have a TB test since he is immunosuppressed...that also came back fine. Did enroll at USC with the Students with Disabilities Dept? Todd was able to qualify for a single room, single bathroom with their help. Of course he didn't want it, but at least he is in a dorm with a single room and only has to share the bathroom with 3 other guys (which are his friends). I really didn't want him sharing a room with someone and have the risk of his roommate getting sick and Todd having to be in such close proximity. So hopefully this will work out well. I sure am hoping and praying that will be able to start USC with the rest of the students next weekend. The timing of this does stink and I am sure she is disappointed and frustrated. Congratulations to her for making the USC marching band...that is quite an accomplishment. Sending lots of prayers that she will not miss a beat (I couldn't resist the pun ) Hugs, Joanne (mom of Todd, psc 01, crohns 02, tx twice 03, recurrent psc 05, living life to the fullest 06)
