Guest guest
Hello Qiessence ~ Yay ! Explant is so much easier than implant was ! drain tubes and all ! Be sure he is going to do the enbloc proceedure to remove the implants. That is where they cut around the scar tissue and leave the implant inside it to remove it, that is to be sure all toxins stay inside with as little leakage as possible. There is toxins between the implant and the scar capsule, as well as in the scar capsule. Be patient in the healing process. Best to heal some before starting to detox. Congratulations girl ! Guest guest
I forgot to ask him about enblock - I will call his office tomorrow and ask. Out of all plastic surgeons in town, he is the most highly recommended, so I do feel better about that. I have to say, I was not prepared for the emotions I felt today...broke out in tears in his office. I wasn't this emotional about losing my real breasts to the mastectomy - maybe because this is finality...I will NEVER have breasts again, and for a single woman, that is difficult. I am thinking about getting Aflac ins to help with costs while I am off work. Glad to hear it will be easier and I do hope with all I have that my chronic pain, and all symptoms go away with the bags of moldy water.... > > Hello Qiessence ~ > > Yay ! Guest guest
Qiessence . . ..Sexiness isn't in the breast, but in the head. . . If you think you're sexy, everybody else will too!One friend who was completely boob-less told me she had the best of both worlds. . . She could put on a padded bra and be a big as she wanted to be, or she could go bra-less and feel light and airy.Another friend elected to have her second breast removed . . . she didn't want to worry about developing cancer in it. . . She wears form fitting tops all the time. . . Her hubby loves her just the same!Get it in writing that your doctor will do the en bloc procedure, if at all possible. If not, that he will remove every last bit of capsule humanly possible. If our recommended docs can do it, so can he!Hugs,Rogene
Guest guest
Thank you. I am slowly getting use to the idea of not having breasts. My best friend told me I should get several sizes of prosthetic bras and keep people guessing. I just need to realize that if this is what will help me to reclaim my health and life, then who cares about what others think.
Guest guest
Q ~ My heart goes out to you ! I am glad you found a doc that seems compassionate, I hope he will agree to do the enbloc proceedure. You have already been through so much. You dont need scar caps left behind only to have to have surgery again one day to remove those. If he does agree to do enbloc, and you really like him and the job he does, we could sure use another doctor on our list of good doctors. With proper explant and detox, you are on your way to healing ! ! Hugs N Prayers ~ Dede**************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today. Guest guest
Qiessence, I especially want to say to you; I couldn't accept that I had to be explanted either, but I've lost years of my life b/c of my stubborness. I don't want you to become as sick as I have; spending every day in bed, losing my hair, immune system, etc. I've been wearing a prosthesis on my ruptured side, for a year now. I won't tell you it's easy, but to be able to have a life again would be priceless. I've been where you are now; I hope you can gain some insight from what I've been through! I wish you well! Hugs, Cheryl Thank you. I am slowly getting use to the idea of not having breasts. My best friend told me I should get several sizes of prosthetic bras and keep people guessing. Guest guest
Ladies, I have to tell you about a cute conversation I had yesterday with an elderly woman while I was shopping at Costco with my daughter. We were looking at the Calvin Klein tank tops in packages, searching for her size when an elderly woman stopped behind us and said, 'I must be on another planet! This is supposed to be a discount store, but I just saw a bra for $29.95! Is that how much bras cost these days? " My daughter and I smiled and assured her that yes, bras cost that much and more these days. This little old lady, dressed in a buttoned shirt and shorts, just said, " Well I am sure glad I just let mine sag then! Yup, I just let 'em sag and that's fine. " My daughter and I looked at each other and started smiling. I could tell my daughter wanted to bust out laughing. As she continued walking down the aisle, I told her " Thank you for that little piece of joy. " She disappeared around the corner. My daughter and I giggled about that conversation for a long time, but I was so proud of my daughter when she said, " Mom, some people just don't respect old people, but they are so cute! She was so cute! " It was a spot of sunshine in our day! I am going to remember that woman for years to come, because she was totally at peace with herself and her boobs! That's the way it should be! Guest guest
I thank you for your insight - it does help to know that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. I do dream of being healthier and happier and long to have the energy to do the things I want to do. And to know what it is like to sleep, to be able to think again (brain fog is horrible and memory has suffered). > > Qiessence, I especially want to say to you; I couldn't accept that I > had to be explanted either, but I've lost years of my life b/c of my > stubborness. Guest guest
He took his time with me and explained things - and even told me though the research 'says' they are safe, he has patients who reported feeling better and even some who have said their health problems went away once they were removed. He had no problem telling me he'd like to do an explant on me! It is difficult to trust anyone in the medical field right now, but so far, I feel comfortable with him. > > Q ~ > > My heart goes out to you ! Guest guest
I do agree! Unfortunately, there are so many shallow people in the world. I have beat so many things - it is time I stop beating on myself! I think I am about to make the first step towards self-love.... > > Q ~ > > Ya know, people that look at other people > and form opinions about their bust size just dont > have much upstairs....and certainly have too much > free time ! ! > Your beauty, charm, intelligence and attitude > will shine above all , keep faith in yourself ! .... > > Hugs ~ > Dede > > > ************** > Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Guest guest
And how I hope you are right! I want nothing more than to feel better!! I have been seeing a naturopath and gave her a heads up - have an appointment Friday and hope we are able to make a plan to help me get on the right track. I think it is easy to beat yourself up when you feel so horrible all the time... > > Qiessence > > Girl, I agree, no more beating yourself up!
