Guest guest
I was reading comments on Geneen Roth’s Facebook page and someone wrote on there that they were having a problem with popcorn. That got quite a chuckle out of me since I am the Popcorn Queen! I was thinking about how I have been working on the popcorn issue…I tend to ask my husband to make it for me when I am feeling lonely or bored. (By the way, he makes the best popcorn ever!). When my children are here visiting they always want him to make popcorn for them. while I was thinking about that the thought went through my head that “popcorn means daddy loves meâ€. Oh, my God…flashes of being a child…my mom would send me to bed without dinner sometimes if I “misbehavedâ€; later in the evening, my dad would come up to my room with a bowl of popcorn for me. Oh, my God…â€popcorn means daddy loves meâ€. This is just too weird! This work is so interesting and strange and wonderful and scary! I love it! Also, I had an interesting thing happen last night. I had a piece of pie before I was hungry (later after dinner) and then some pretzels with dip. However, after my husband went to bed, I did not have a snack, as I always do! I was aware of very kindly checking with myself about if I was truly hungry and I wasn’t, so I just let it be. It was amazing! I didn’t obsess over it or anything. I just watched TV without eating!
