Guest guest
Hi guys! I guess I am feeling a bit nervous about my health. I have been feeling back pain daily, a pain in my right upper area under my ribs daily, sometimes nausea, sometimes diarrhea, always tired and I cannot tolerate any meat protein (as some of you already know). I finally went in for another blood test, and my enzymes, of course, were barely elevated (which now I am finding is normal) My liver enzymes were elevated. This has been ever since my gallbladder was removed last April. (Low pancreas enzymes-high liver enzymes) Why? My internist is now referring my to yet another Gastro. doctor. My fear is that he will not understand about my daily pain, and that he will want to do a diagnostic ERCP. And I know what ERCPs do to the pancreas. Plus, I do not have time for a huge attack, as my college choir will be singing in Spain in January and I will have my Master's Recital in April. I refuse to be sick and in the hospital while I am preparing for these!!!! What do you think? Staci

Guest guest
Staci, I know exactly how you feel. I've got the daily pain and major fatigue. I'm just managing to keep my job but it is not easy.I spent a lot of time sleeping. I can tolerate very little meat myself so I've been trying to find other sources of protein. I've taken to drink 2-3 Ensure High Protein Drinks every day, plus eating things like lentils and hummus and the white colored cheeses (less fat than others) in small amounts every day to try and make up the protein I just can't eat in meat form. Hydrations is another thing that can help. Drink as much water, gatoraid, pediatlyte, etc. that can get you the hydration you need. I hope you get enough rest and such. Nice to hear from somone else in CA. Kimber -- Kimber hominid2@...
