, I broaches this exact subject with my GI when our daughter was pregnant

with our second grandchild. She nearly laughed me out of the room, but composed

herself! I had hoped that perhaps we could somehow save the blood from the

baby's cord. Unfortunately, I think my 'thinking' is ahead of where her head

was. Regardless, since I am really not close to a transplant - nor do I plan on

having one if at all possible, so for now, I will just wait and see what

happens. THEN...if the cord blood is a possibility, I will see if my daughter

is willing to have another baby (fat chance of that! LOL) so I could have the

cord blood! The reason I think it is quite remote, is that she has a one and

two year old! YIKES....we do have fun, but they are a handful! We are truly

blessed!

I'm not sure if this is a hot topic everywhere, but here in Missouri the the

stem cell issue in the upcoming election is causing all types of debates

(including a very heated one with my mom & me vs. my dad). Yesterday, I was

watching the Fox Cable News & they showed a lab that used stem cells from

umbilical cord blood & made a very tiny liver (which they said is just a start).

When I was still working, occassionally there were mothers who voluntarily

opted to donate cord blood. We would then have certain paper work to fill out

prior to having the lab come. So if this should pass, I would imagine that the

mothers would be asked if they did or did not wish to donate upon admission to

labor & delivery. I think that this could provide alot of stem cells. As for the

commercials where girls in college, I can't

imagine anyone choosing to do this for money (and hopefully, with more people

opting

to donate cord blood, that other procedure will fade out).

While the development of this little liver is great news for us, there are

plenty of other

illnesses that can benefit, too. God bless J. Fox, who breaks my

heart, and

has taken so much flack for his endorsements.....

You're daughter would probably prefer to give her bady a rest for a liitle while

& I am sure that she is busy with her two little ones !!

I'm not sure that people would ever be able to have a choice in the matter

either.

, you are probably right! Her body DOES need a rest! And we probably

wouldn't have a choice either as you say. Our daughter is truly a delight with

her two babies...She works full time teaching, and I babysit two days a

week...lots of fun...BUT the babysitter is directly across from our home. She

is a wonderful woman. Not quite like family, but at least we know the family

well!

Now my mother says that my niece; who is due to have her first baby in January,

wanted to do exactly what we've been E-mailing about. She could donate her

cord

blood & have it saved, incase she had another child in the future & that

child had

medical problems. Only you had to pay monthly for that blood to be stored &

for

now she's opting not to do it. First time that I've heard about this option.

My sister is currently also expecting and offered to have her cord blood stored

in the hopes of helping my son. However, she had been told by her own doctor

that there are such a small number of cells in the cord blood, that unless the

child is very small when diagnosed, the cord blood probably could not help

him/her. Also, my understanding from her doctor was that there was no proof

that cord blood that had been saved or " frozen " would be helpful to anyone at

all.

That being said, when I was looking for a specialist to help me with my son's

autoimmune problems, I found a doctor at Hopkins that is doing a study on

children with autoimmune disorders using a combination of steroids and stem

cells to help with their disorders. Unfortunately, she will not take any

children that have a current bout of hepatitis going on. Not sure of any

results.

Patty, I am sorry that she went through with it also. A week before her treatment I saw our psychologist (Mark Steinberg) and he used a technique called Thought Field Therapy (founded by Callahan). It really has been amazing. I am still concerned for , but my obsessive worrying has completely gone away. It is an amazing tool that I wish more therapists used in their practices. We have talked about symptoms to look for of toxicity to the implants. I know that she will know the cause of her illness. She doesn't doubt anyone on this support group, she just thinks that she will be one of the fortunate ones that has no complications. It's that 19 year old brain that she has. I have a really good cookbook that my mom gave me years ago. It's called the New Natural Healing Cookbook by Bessie Jo Tillman.

She has people give up all fruits, sugar, dairy, caffeine and most grains (allowed are brown rice, amaranth, quinoa and a few others). She has cured many ailments using this method. You stay off these substances for 8 weeks and then gradually add back some. I don't think she ever recommends adding back white sugar/dairy. I tried it for about 3 weeks and felt great. Then life got hectic and I started eating those things again. I don't feel nearly as good. We are going to start eating that way next week when we get back from vacation. wants to participate, which can only be good for her recovery. You can send the emails. I got a great email from Rogene on what she does. gave it to Robin, but said that she doesn't think she wants to go that extreme. Maybe if sets the example, she will follow! Thanks for all of your support. Janineglory2glory1401 <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: Janine,I'm sorry to hear the news that your daughter went through with this. anything to do with it. Alot of women remain in denial for years, thanks in large part to their doctors who take the politically correct approach, rather than to implicate implants in any way.Fibromyalgia can be treated through detoxing appropriately, and supporting hormonal imbalances. In fact, my mother was just confirmed as having fibromyalgia a few weeks ago, and I sent her copies of letters from a woman who claimed that she beat her fibromyalgia this way. If you are interested in copies of those letters from this group, just let me know, but the bottom line is that deficiencies need to be treated and detoxing is a MUST.Patty> > >> > > I have a rash on my chest and back. Hello Rogene ~

I do think I am on to something about their egos

and they are quite infected ! ! lololol....

I agree that the gastro man I saw is in a very dark

and stinky place......

No, no conversation with the cardio yet. I dont like to call on mondays especially after a holiday.

I didnt have a phone all week last week til friday, and it was a holiday .

I am really discouraged with all the docs here in Austin so far, and it is so expensive going from doc to doc, and I have to get Dad to take me, and he is across town now, and it is a mess. I owe so much money for medical stuff, and this recent crap has been over 10,000 for it all, and for what ? ? basically nothing......

I am back at the start, I have nodules in both lungs that have grown there in the last year. breast implants that are nasty, and my boobs are growing more I just cant believe it, my left one no longer fits into a 42 DD....... I cant even squash it in there.......it hangs out on both sides........and is flowing over ! ! pathetic ! ! ! and I hate it ! ! The implants are neatly tucked behind the muscles, and all these boobs that have grown hang and point down. This time 3 years ago, I was in a 34 C or D and it was alittle big, and the skin on my breasts stretched over the implants and you could see the ripples of the implants. Now you cant even feel ( find ) them ( implants) ! and the boobs hurt ! ! !

So............its a mess ! ! Every time I mention this to a doc, they just look at me and smile ........like what is my problem with them.....idiots ! and yes, they are all ....men ! go figure !

I find it very problematic that these have quadruppled in size and I am drowning in boobs.

What to do ????........

Love Dede

That gastro guy was from Hell. . . . I wonder where his head was? . . . Someplace dark and stinky?
