Guest guest
Hi guys I just recently heard about Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) Has anyone every heard of this and if so do you guys know where there are any centers in south Florida? Here what it is in case some don't know: Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) centers are non-residential health care centers for Medicaid eligible children from birth through age 20 with medically-complex conditions and require continuous therapeutic or skilled nursing supervision. PPECs include an array of services focused on meeting the medical, developmental, physical, nutritional, and social needs of the children who require short, long-term, or intermittent services. When approved, children can attend a PPEC up to a maximum of 12 hours per day while their parents or guardians are unavailable to care for them. PPECs provide a less restrictive alternative to institutionalization, and reduce the isolation that home bound children may experience.
