Guest guest
Thanks Dede for the welcome. My " baby " is 18 mos. Yes, we are still nursing and plan to til she decides she's done. She is the joy of our lives, what a sweet little soul. I will be teaching her that implants don't make you beautiful, self-confident, etc. etc. and they will definitely make breastfeeding more challenging at the best and at the worst, can ruin your health. I have rheumatoid arthritis. Was diagnosed at 28. I am 32 now. I got my first set of implants at 21. Not sure if it's a coincidence, rheumatologist says yes, coincidence..but i always wonder. My implant story is long and is the result of less than stellar confidence and body image issues in my early 20s. I got a set of PIPs about 470cc at age 21. Then at about age 24 I got a set of 770cc mentors b/c I wanted to have " huge boobs " ...woke up hating them. Lived with them for 3 yrs. At age 27 got my final and current set of implants, Mentors filled to about 500ccs. However, with this final set put in, I needed a lift so I got a benelli lift (incisions around my areolas but nothing down the front of the breast). My result is as good as one could hope for after being so big for 3 yrs but I really wish I just had the confidence 5 yrs ago to tell my surgeon, no...take them out, lift me but no more implants!!! After my dd weans, I plan to explant and probably get a lift again. I wonder what i will look like if i dont get a lift and just explant....probably not so good. I am 5'10 and about 130 lbs. Before implants at age 20-21 I was a 34B...I wonder now how much natural breast tissue I have. I have no idea. Probably just skin and scar tissue Anyway ladies, thanks for reading and comments welcome regarding explant without a lift. Anne Sakoff San Diego, CA > > Anne ~ > > Welcome to the group ! ! Guest guest
hi anne, I breast fed my 3 kids as long and longer than you are, thats why i needed the implants to begin with! I also had a benelli lift put in with my pips. A dr im talking to now says she will take the benelli sutures out when she does the explant and do a lollipop lift. Im sure i will need it too. She also does fat injections to plump them on top--not so sure about this. Isnt having fatty breasts more risky for cancer? After my scare Im not so sure about this. Does anyone know? Take care > > > > Anne ~ > > > > Welcome to the group ! ! Unfortunately > > all implants are silicone, just filled with different > > things. Guest guest
Anne, I'm glad you are going to teach your daughter that implants have nothing to do with beauty, and yes, they can ruin your health. WE need our children to be well informed before they make the mistakes we did. I have also taught my daughter the truth about their dangers. I hope and pray that your daughter never has health issues from her exposure through your implants.....As Dede pointed out, there is a group for families dealing with the heartache of having children ill because of exposure through their mother's implants, either through the effects in the womb or through breastfeeding or both. It's Silicone Kids on . I'm really sorry to hear about your rheumatoid arthritis. One of my first abnormal blood tests when I got sick was an elevated rheumatoid factor. The rheumatologist asked me if I had RA in my family. The answer is NO. Nobody in my family was sick with any autoimmune disease. I was the first one, and nothing about it was a coincidence. My implants had made me ill. I never got a diagnosis and in fact, I fired my rheumy because he was uninformed. It was the best thing I could have done, because I decided to go with natural medicine and praise God, it was the way to my liberation from ignorance about our screwed up medical system. I am healed! I believe your rheumy is wrong about your illness being a coincidence to your having implants. I believe that you have RA because of the implants, based on what hundreds of thousands of other women have already experienced. The very first woman to ever be implanted also has RA. Her story is in our files section. I can only wonder....will you commit to getting better for the sake of your daughter and family? If you want that, then I would urge you to wean your child as soon as you feel ready, and pursue explant quickly. Implants will not contribute in any way toward healing. They may in fact keep you sick and make you sicker over time. I breastfed every single one of my 4 children, (but I did not have implants.), so I understand the bond that happens with breastfeeding, and the joy it brings. The decisions are all yours, and I respect that...I'm just letting you know that you CAN change your life. You can make choices that will put you on a different path if you want it. We know the way....no guarantees, but lots of uplifting, positive stories of healing are on this group because of what we've learned together. Best wishes, Patty > > > > Anne ~ > > > > Welcome to the group ! ! Unfortunately > > all implants are silicone, just filled with different > > things.
