Hello,

I have to rebatch, as you know, so if silk is added to the lye, can I

still add it in the beginning of rebatch? (Did I word that right?) I

rebatch with soap of palm and coconut oils, if I add cocoa butter would it

make it too soft? Don't you just love people with all these questions. I

just got cocoa butter and I want to play!!

Thanks Sherry,

I thought that maybe the case. At least I am starting to have some idea

of what works and what won't. OH...But so much to learn, so little time!!

Carol,

Cocoa butter adds hardness to the bars. I don't know how you would add silk

(unless you have the liquid silk) at rebatch. I know it takes hot lye to

dissolve it, and I know it is at least the heat. Cooled lye solution will

not dissolve the silk.
