The last group, as I heard it, was started by Barb because the others didn't know how to do it. I don't know how moderators were chosen. Again, before my time. > 3: Who is still missing in action? Sherri Amy Merritt Joan (but I don't think she's going to sign up again - she asked me to take her name off that emergency email list) Tammy I just posted the list before you got here. I sent invites to all of those except for Dessa because nobody had her email address. Would you happen to have an old email of hers with her addy on it, or have it in your Address Book? Sherri is still off line with computer problems. > 4: What is the purpose we are striving to achieve here? Just make sure Tess puts " OT " in the subject header if she's trying to tell us she did something bad to you again for those ladies who want to skip non-weight loss related posts. Guest guest
We did have one man for a short period of time (Chaz from RS) I do not believe that there was a rule on men! Just no one ever interested. I do not care either way. Should we invite Steve? --- Just kidding ---- BAD JOKE! Sorry Personally I would like to thank Sue in NJ for taking the initiative on restarting the group. I know that Sherri was a moderator and an initiator of the first group but I am glad we didn't wait for her computer before we started up again.. I pray it doesn't take long for her computer to get back working. I need my Sherri kicks in the rump roast!

Guest guest
Your welcome Eleanora. I just love your stories and someday I really need a good laugh and I even have to share it with a lot of times. She gets a big kick out of them. Guest guest
> We did have one man for a short period of time (Chaz from RS) Poor Chaz! Once his wife retired from the military and they moved to Arizona he hasn't had time to *breathe*! He owns another list I'm on and he stopped in I think once since Spring. He also has 2 teens in the house, so I'm sure he's kept busy with them. He even dropped his personal web site because he ws too busy to keep up with it. The Daily Devotionals I sent to those who wanted it were first introduced to me by Chaz. >Should we invite Steve? --- Just kidding ---- BAD JOKE! Nah, I think this group is livened up enough without him! LOL > restarting the group. I know that Sherri was a moderator and an initiator of > the first group but I am glad we didn't wait for her computer before we Once I heard she got fried again I just went and did it. A similar even happened to my brother last summer and it killed his whole computer AND the wiring in his entire house. I do hope Sherri wasn't hit *that* hard, but who knew how long it would take her to get back. We *need* this support if we want to gt this weight under control. > working. Guest guest
Sue, what do you mean you haven't had your first snow yet? Boy I feel so selfish! You just come on up here and get some girlfriend. Actually one of my former foster boys has a back hoe, if I could figure out how to mail it, we could send you buckets of snow! I am recovering, but of course my daughter had to catch it from me! I've also noticed Tess is wheezing on occassion, maybe just to keep up with the rest of the family! As far as the crocus' go, I may have to buy mine this year. Last year we had to tear up 50 plants, cause the Tess decided they were yummy. They may be, but they are also poisonous for doggies, not that she considers herself a mere dog mind you! We still haven't found alternative housing, and since it is a new year I will have to reapply to everywhere in the province again...this is soooooo depressing. But my daughter has agreed that if we are not accepted anywhere by June, I can start looking for a trailer to rent. Anything without stairs. The bit about the Pam, found on a science website, apparently inhaling the oily spray can also cause it to coat your lungs, hence the breathing problems. I generally use nothing or a bit of liquid to cook with, like broth. My mil used to use Pam all the time and thought is was great stuff. But it has the same effect on me as any aerosol cleaner. We also go bed early, I don't know, starting a new year clean and sober just seems like a more welcoming idea! Eleanora
Guest guest
Well I ended the year by spending more money!!! Then I made home made veggie pizza... I used the bread machine for the dough (which I don't usually) the pan was not in right... the dough didn't get kneaded... So we ate dinner at 9pm..... oh well. We are going to watch " ie " the movie about a talking Parrot... & then... midnight!!!! Ali plans to leave for the airport by 9:30 am... My brother & his wife are stopping by for lunch... everything will be low key.... I am looking forward to this break... I hope I can get my head on straighter while he is gone.... just keep getting stronger!!! I am serving Turkey breast, asparagus, carrot dish, salad, & rice... Dinner will be a soup... and breakfast will be crumpets... I usually put some peanut butter & honey on mine... kes3353 wrote: > How is everyone spending New Years Eve? Guest guest
I use my hooks for my powerblocks. I can't hold anything over 45 lbs without my fingers going numb. Guest guest
I had the same problem being able to hold enough weight in my hands to actually feel it in my hamstrings. I started doing one-leg deadlifts and really like them. You only have to hold half as much weight, plus the element of balance really adds to the intensity (I think).
