Guest guest
I also saw it last night and loved that part. Makes me want to go to Italy and EAT. My favorite was when she was like, "I have no interest in becoming obese but I'm going to eat and I'm going to enjoy every minute of this." I love that because I think sometimes people look at IE and think it's just some excuse for us to gorge ourselves and eventually we're going to pay for it. I think the movie did a good job of showing how one can savor their food, make it an event, relish in it's goodness and then leave satisfied but not stuffed. Hi Virginia... I just saw Eat, Pray, Love last night and loved the entire movie, but the 'Eat' part was great because yes, it did touch on IE in an inspiring way!To: IntuitiveEating_Support Sent: Fri, August 13, 2010 10:26:49 PMSubject: Doubting IE Several people have mentioned their doubts (fear for me) about the IE process. Being in the first few weeks this comes up for me a lot. But when I find myself throwing away HALF the popcorn at the movies, that tells me something is happening. I have never left one kernel of popcorn!! This happened tonight and I was amazed. BTW, I saw Eat (touches on IE ideas), Pray, Love and liked it very much.Virginia

Guest guest
Saw the movie today also. The IE message JUMPED out at me off of the screen. How refreshing to hear it! By the way: Oh my gosh, did you SEE the pizza they were eating? You could practically taste it! It looked so good! I've been struggling with migraines and fluxuating blood sugar lately, which has thrown off my IE completely, as I've had to eat between meals to take medications and manage the pain of the headaches. Plus I've had to eat between meals to manage the blood sugar and not let it drop too low (which is what seems to happen while waiting waiting waiting for hunger). I feel as though I've forgotten about IE for weeks now - as I've had to just do what I need to do for myself. But it was refreshing to hear the IE philosophy come at me from on the big screen today. She reminded me of one of the highest priorities of every day for me - to manage emotional eating. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself that I have to take this on every single day - this huge task of looking inward and managing when I turn to food. But then I think of people who are recovering alcoholics, and they have to do the same kind of management - only with booze. We all have our road to self awareness. This is the road God put me on. So glad to be on this road with all of you. xo > > > > > Hi Virginia...
