Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been a little MIA. Life's just been crazy the last couple weeks.

I'm working on catching up with all the posts. Some great stories and insight

in them. I do have a couple things that I want to share with the group.

First, I've started exercising. I've been in the habit of taking an afternoon

nap when my kids do, and I wanted to break that. I've been having trouble with

the idea of loving movement and such, so while I was thinking about it, exercise

wasn't happening. Well, a couple weeks ago, I decided to shorten my naps. Do

something after the kids go to bed, but still allow myself to have that nap if I

wanted. One day I picked up a 15 min workout video. It felt GREAT! I also

discovered that it left me feeling so energetic, I didn't want the nap!!! Wow!

So, I've been reading a book, Walk Away The Pounds, and doing the Videos by the

same name. The author/leader is not IE, but she's a lot IE, and she is anti

" diet " . For me at least it's been a good fit, and so exciting. Plus, since I

do want to change my body shape, be that by toning or losing weight, this is

helping. I've done okay with body acceptance at my current size, but less is a

goal to help my physical body.

Second, a wild thing happened at the movies tonight. I took in my Jr Mints

(hey, you need them, and if they don't sell them) and then got the kids pack

with small drink, popcorn and candy (red vines.) Well, I opened my vines,

started eating and went, yuck. Didn't even finish the first one, it just didn't

taste good and wasn't what I wanted after all. LOVED my soda and my popcorn (w/

butter, hey, I got to the movies maybe once a year,) and the Jr Mints? Still

sitting unopened in my purse. I'm just amazed that I didn't get into the mints,

or eat more vines, because I 'should'. After all, I bought it because I wanted

it, so I better eat it, etc type thinking. After all, I was also indulging at

the movie, so why not eat the rest. Well, the answer is, I didn't really want

it after all, and I've learned that just because I have something doesn't mean I

have to eat it. Most stuff keeps a while anyways and there will be other

opportunities.

I am feeling so strong. I'm still working on stopping when full, or eating only

when hungry, those things ebb and flow in there success rate, but overall, I can

see and feel the difference IE is making in my life. Just wanted to share

because I know that I find it amazing and inspiring to continue, and thought

others might enjoy it also.
