Guest guest
When a doctor says "small incision" to remove breast implants, I get cold chills. . . Are you absolutely positive he plans to do and en bloc procedure, or at least a complete capsulectomy? . . . I'd certainly get it in writing! . . . You don't want to risk spilling any contaminated fluids into your chest cavity. We've had too many women require further surgery to remove capsules that have been left behind. We have lots of detox recommendations in the archives. . . My suggestion is to start slow by adopting a very healthy diet . . . no sugar . . . restrict refine grains . . no microwave or deep fry . . .healthy oils - like coconut oil and olive oil . . avoid processed foods . of course all junk food! . . . If you're not already eating this way, it's going to take time to learn new, healthy ways to eat. If you try to do it all at once, you'll get discouraged and give up . . . so take it slow . . . find things you like to replace stuff your body doesn't need. . . Throw in some probiotic foods and supplements and you will be on your way. . . We can get to other detox programs later. Guest guest
Explant is generally less painful than implant. . . Your after care will just involve taking it a bit easy for a while. . . If you'll wear a snug, but comfortable sports bra, the internal scar tissue will help shape you nicely as you fluff out over the following months. If your doctor doesn't plan to remove your implants properly, you may have to educate him (we have plenty of info in the archives), or find another doctor. . . It's simply not worth the risk . . even if you have to pay for your own explant.Where do you live? . . . I've found a good plastic surgeon in Little Rock, Arkansas who said he would do en bloc procedures for explants IF the woman was recommended by us. He always explants gel en bloc. . . saline is another issue.Hugs and prayers,Rogene Dteoxing post explant My explant is scheduled for Sept 5th - unfortunately in my home town as most doctors out of network are not fully covered by my insurance and most are more than I can afford. Guest guest
Thank you Rogene. I swear he said en block, but I will call him today. His nurse seems a bit irritated by me asking so many questions - it amazes me that so many doctors have such huge egos that they cannot take the time to really listen. Unfortunately my pain and burning have grown so intense that I am afraid of the amount of sadness and anger I feel - I know I cannot wait much longer and 3 weeks seems like an eternity right now. Am even having issues with burning joints which feel like leg cramps in my knees. I tried everything to afford Dr's. Kolb, Feng and a few others, but I have not been successful. Thank you again - I will call them first thing this morning and tell them of the importance of creating a larger incision and removing en block. > > When a doctor says " small incision " to remove breast implants, I get cold chills. . . Guest guest
I actually talked to the doctors nurse this morning and she told me the doctor was interested in emailing with Dr. Kolb regarding her protocol...that is good news that he is open to doing a great job! She did tell me the incision would be larger than we had first talked about since more room will be needed to get under the muscle, and he will be doing en bloc. Drains will be used following the procedure. Getting my mind off the pain is very tough - especially at work since it is not a positive place to be. I am going to keep trying. I do have several button down tops and scrub pants/shorts. I started the disability process today - well, I called them at least. They said I will get the paper work in 2 days and will fax the paper work to my doc. My doc's nurse said they don't always do that, so I may need to. Once they have all of their papers back, they will let me know within 5 days if I am approved or not. I wasn't very happy with that language as I thought there wouldn't be a question in getting it. The toughest thing right now will be keeping my mind in check. I have been sick since I got these poison bags 7 years ago, and am quite amazed at how much worse I am feeling - and how fast this came on. > > > > > > When a doctor says " small incision " to remove breast implants, I get > > cold chills. . . Guest guest
I was relieved when I got off the phone with the surgeons nurse today - larger incision, en bloc/capsulectomy and drains! I don't eat meat - on occasion I will eat wild caught salmon. Thanks to celiac disease, I don't eat bread or anything with wheat/gluten and definitely no fried or deep friend foods. The only sugars that I know I take in are in an occasional soda, which will end!! Only water and green tea for me. And the microwave will be sold or given away in the next few days... What pro-biotic foods would you recommend? I do need to learn better eating habits as I rarely eat breakfast - difficult to find something healthy that I can eat and am usually not hungry for the first few hours of the day. I do try to eat as much organic as possible and try to stay away from processed foods. Anything you can recommend is very welcome! Thank you so much.... > > When a doctor says " small incision " to remove breast implants, I get cold chills. . .
