Mark,

First, call her doctor. Second, you can tell when a person is getting

dehydrated by pinching the skin her forearm. If the skin stays in the pinch

position for more than a few seconds, it means she is getting dehydrated.

It can really screw up the diabetes if you get dehydrated-not as bad for

type 2's as for type one.

Subject: GOT A Q FOR YOU FOLKS.

MY WIFE IS A TYPE 2 DIABETIC LIKE SOME OF US ARE. SHE IS SICK WITH A HEAD

COLD I THINK, BUT SHE HAS GOT SICK AND THREW UP TWICE TO DAY. I HEARD OR

READ THAT THROWING UP FOR A DIABETIC CAN BE A VERY BAD THING IF YOU DO IT TO

MUCH. THIS THROWING UP THING IS SOME THING SHE ALWAYS DOES WHEN SHE GETS

SICK, BUT SHE FOUND OUT A YEAR BACK SHE IS A TYPE 2 DIABETIC. SHE CAN'T EAT

BECAUSE NOTHING WILL STAY DOWN. NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO KEEP MY EYE ON OR HOW

WOULD I KNOW IF SHE WAS GETTING DEHYDRATED FROM THE THROWING UP? SHE CAN'T

EVEN TAKE A PILL FOR THE HEAD COLD BECAUSE SHE WILL TOSS HER COOKIES. WILL

APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION YOU CAN GIVE ME. THANKS AND GOD BLESS. HER NAME

IS NEDRA AND SHE IS A PART OF THE LIST AND READS EVERYTHING WHEN YOU GUYS

POST.
