Guest guest
, You bring up an important point that I forgot to mention. You think you’re having problems because of summer approaching. I can understand that and I know it’s all-consuming at times. You’ll hear all the people you’re following on Twitter say this, in slightly different ways – the best strategy is to stay present, stay in the moment. You don’t have control over the future, you only have right now. Remember that right now, you are doing fine and that’s a really good thing. Staying in the moment is a skill, so it takes practice. Wearing a rubber band around your wrist can help remind you when you start drifting back to worrying about the future. If necessary, snap the band to snap yourself back to the present. You can use anything as a reminder, just use something you don’t always have around so it’s different and you notice it. If you can get out and walk or get some other activity in right now, it will help. It’s great for decreasing anxiety, regardless of the cause. Thanks! I have been struggling as well. The past few weeks have been very up and down. I think I am feeling anxious about the warmer weather and getting out the skimpier clothing! Even though I have been looking forward to getting outdoors again to walk, the anxiety over my weight is taking over. I am trying very hard not to fall into old habits and behaviors, but it is very difficult at times. I am using my Twitter subscriptions to GeenenRoth, EatWhatYouLove, and Etribole to send inspirational text messages to my phone for pick me ups! > > I think that's the million dollar question.
