Guest guest
It's a very western thing to have specific foods set for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Food is food. My husband is discovering this while he's working in Taiwan. He always wondered why I had no problem eating steak and mashed potatoes for breakfast or bacon and eggs for dinner. Now he knows. Most non-western cultures don't specify when you have to eat something. My mother still eats kim-chi and rice 3 meals a day. Whatever else is with it is just more options and flavors.Feed her what she'll eat and don't worry about what time it is. But for more recipes and variety, I suggest joining the GFCFKids list. Lot's of people exchanging recipes and ideas there. Also, look at what you would normally eat and figure out how to make it within the restraints of your diet. Sometimes this requires more knowledge of replacements but that comes with time and researching when you get stuck on something. I got to a point where I could take a regular cookbook and modify it with relative ease. Cheryl~http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com~@midian42~ Thanks Toni and Cheryl for your answers. Per your suggestions I removed the nuts from her diet. I'm using Flax seed and Butternut to make her cakes. We also started Lysine and this week we increased to 2000 mg daily. Yesterday she got some red blisters with a small white center in her rear end. Today she got three small blisters in her face and neck. We're excited!!! May you please share your ideas for breakfast and snacks? Her diet is gluten, casein, soy, sugar, corn and now nut free. We are also trying to avoid starches to control yeast. thanks for your help. Guest guest
You could use macadamia nuts in small quantities (and you will anyway, the price is crazy) Coconut too.Snacks: 's pumpkin seeds, coconut ice cream, they eat GFCF snacks like pretzels and such, but like you we try to limit those. Macaroons. I haven't finished my coffee right now so still thinking LOL Oh, I have baked acorn squash and flavored with ghee and honey as " breakfast pie " hehe Eat it right out of the shell. This morning Gabi had Ian's french toast sticks, but I don't know if they have corn... I don't think they do. Alek had corn flakes without milk though, that doesn't help you!
