Sorry y'all missed it! First, my rheumy is out of town but he calls to tell me my sed rate and CRP are through the roof and we have to do something. Trouble is, we've tried everything. We're going BACK on the enbrel and I'll be doing both injections at the same time, once a week rather than twice a week. Well, at least it doesn't sting like the Humira does. Not that I remember. Other than this, we're lost. He wants to put me back on the methotrexate so bad he can't stand it but my liver just won't tolerate it. Next, my SIL and I went to see Troy last night (outstanding movie!!!) on base and I had a "mother's gut instinct" and decided to pop in and see at work. It was 9:45 and she calls around 10:15 every night to tell me she's leaving work. The building was empty. An older man was at the register in the bowlong alley section so I asked him what time Bingo is over. He said, they're usually out of there between 9:15 and 9:30 every night. Well, my gut instinct (again) led us to the barracks and lo and behold, there was 's car. I called her cell phone but of course she wouldn't answer because she thinks I still think that she's at work (no cells allowed.) So I called the barracks duty hut and they paged her in every room. About 10 minutes later, she comes out of a room and I can see her through the break between the buildings. She calls me to tell me she's just now "leaving work." I said " take 5 steps forward and look to your right." Hello, dear. Well, the duty sergeant called PMO (military police) becasue 's under 18 and can't be in the barracks. They were still dealing with the guy when we left. It was a long long night and none of us (Ronnie was waiting up when we got home) got to bed before 4 am! Anyone wanna buy a 2002 red Dodge Neon? Different issues right now (she wants to move out) but still... I would have thought learned her lesson with the surgery. Guest guest
Well at this point, I refuse to let her quit her job but we're going to see her boss today and I will be getting a copy of her weekly schedule so I KNOW when she should be leaving work. Can you believe she was MAD that I "spied" on her?LOL She's already grounded to where she drives only to work and back because of the ticket. I don't know what else to do. I wanted to drive her to work (since it's still daylight) and Ronnie could go pick her up but A. I'm certainly not supposed to be driving that far, if at all. B. what keeps her at work when we drop her off??? She's too damn close to the barracks. This is the 3rd incident with a Marine in 2 weeks! Just this past weekend she called us at 11:30 at night to come pick her up. She was in a very very bad part of town and had gotten mad at the guy and told him to let her out. So he did. Ronnie was furious that he would put her out there but I know what can be like. I probably would have done what he did! But he could've waited until someone got there to get her! Guest guest
He had an underage female in the military barracks with him. Well hell I just had a tremendous pity party last night. Guest guest
Will she lose her job? I just thought of that--they may not want her working on base when she was where she shouldn't have been? I'm assuming that since she is under 18 the guy is in major trouble? Kathy RE: Well hell Oh crap Christy. Don't give up until you're not breathing anymore. There are new breakthroughs in meds every day. Fingers crossed that they find one that will help you. Don't you just love it when you catch them in the act. The look on their faces is priceless. What will they do to the guy?? Make a plan with you and Ronnie and then both of you stand your ground. Make her face the consenquences for her choices. geez kids!!! I remember those days. Guest guest
So sorry Chirsty. I mean it is pretty scary to think that intimidated a Marine! He should have at least waited in his car until he saw one of you get her! Don't they teach honor and responsibility in the Marines? That's really just a rhetorical question because I read Corin's little book and I know they do--I guess the guys have to have a basis in that before they join up or it doesn't "take" as easily, though. Guest guest
Gotcha. Well hell I just had a tremendous pity party last night.
