Guest guest
I haven't used Enhansa and no expert by any means (only doing bio-med about a year) but I would suspect that a rash after upping the Enhansa would be a sign that you are kicking a virus out. Perhaps it's roseola, that comes with little spots and is a herpes-type virus (like chicken pox) and prevalent in ASD kids. My daughter has one whitehead that appeared this week and we just did high dose vit a on the weekend. Hello! I have searched the archives and have not found what I needed. My son got some red pimples on his bottom about 3 weeks ago. I thought they were irritation or just " pimples " like grown ups get. (he is 5). then he got 3 on his face and these developed a white head just like a pimple. That was about 2 weeks ago. Now he has a few others on arms and legs. They all start off looking like a bug bite or a pimple, then they get the white head, then they start to fade. The ones on his bottom lasted 3 weeks and now are dry and almost crusty, but not crusty. The face spots are 2 weeks old and look like old bug bites that are fading. The newer ones on arms and legs are several days old and they are bright red and itchy. One of them almost looks like it's getting crusty, but I think he's been scratching at that one. My whole family has been taking turns having colds and fevers so I can't say if the spots correlated with fever. Enhansa is our anti-viral. We had just increased from 300 to 600 mg when the butt spots appeared. It's been 2 or 3 weeks on 600mg per day. We had bad behaviors and stimming since then, things we haven't seen in months or longer, like OCD and melt-downs over nothing. I suspected a yeast flare up so I started GSE and more probiotics, plus some biotin. It's only been a day of that. I don't think it's chicken pox because the spots never get oozey or runny or crusty. I looked at pictures of strep rash and that doesn't look like it. I can't find a picture of staph to compare. Our DAN is virtually unreachable and not helpful, and our pediatrician isn't a believer in this stuff, so I am on my own here. Help? Thanks, -- Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states.

Guest guest
thanks for your thoughts Toni. I've compared these spots to every childhood rash I know of in online pictures, and I've seen roseola in person. Wish I could say it was that, but it doesn't look anything like that. They look like bug bites or firm pimples, red and raised. Just a few. (and yes I'm sure they are not bug bites..lol) I called Lee-Silby after I made this post, (they make Enhansa) and they said from my desription DS was probobly having a big die-off reaction with both yeast and virus. They suggested I do magnesium, epsom salt, and charcoal several times per day. This makes sense to me so far, hopefully it will calm him down! Thanks. > > > > > > > Hello! Guest guest
My son developed these strange little "pocs" (for lack of better terms or despcription) back in June after a tough, tough, winter. I had just discovered the world of biomed so did nothing to treat it and just kept an eye on it. I'm happy to report that he walked away from it better than ever : ) ... which leads me to wonder if his winter could've been one giant healing regression....but that's another topic for another time.He still has one under the bridge of his nose that comes and goes from time to time..but it's become a source of comfort to me...as until these spots, all of his symptoms have been neurological and developmental in nature....this has been our one and only "physical" symptom. So maybe this is a good thing for you guys! : ) -Tammy To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Fri, January 14, 2011 12:52:55 PMSubject: Re: pimples with whitehead I haven't used Enhansa and no expert by any means (only doing bio-med about a year) but I would suspect that a rash after upping the Enhansa would be a sign that you are kicking a virus out. Guest guest
When we were using Enhansa, we saw sporadic 'spotting' on my son's torso which was very similar to what we saw with Valtrex so my guess would also be detox/viral shedding. Subject: Re: pimples with whiteheadTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Friday, January 14, 2011, 7:29 PM My brother Rob got these things (a year ago) all over. I think it's viral in nature, and I think it's the body's way of detox (like Toni said) -- He got it when we were using Caprylic Acid (in the liquid form) -- which is also an anti-viral. It eventually went away. We just increased his water consumption. (for detox purposes...) I want to say it was concentrated around his belly and on his back (near his kidneys)... At the time he was taking high doses of Vitamin A too. And a lot of other things. laura > > > > > > > Hello! I have searched the archives and have not found what I needed.
Guest guest
Ditto, we did Enhansa last Spring, got to highest dose, added a vitamin C push, and got the spots starting on torso, then moved to back, arms and legs- took about a month to subside- ours were not itchy, but looked just like chicken pox. & 5 > > When we were using Enhansa, we saw sporadic 'spotting' on my son's torso which was very similar to what we saw with Valtrex so my guess would also be detox/viral shedding. >
Guest guest
Hi Both my children have recently had Molluscum contagiosum in fact my 5 year old daughter still has it. It is a viral infection and starts as red pimples then eventually they grow and have a white head. They come in crops and once one dies off you then get new ones. It lasted for eight months with my son and has just finished. It could possibly be this. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello!
