Guest guest Posted August 9, 2008 Report Share Posted August 9, 2008 MRI Chest Clinical History: Patient has multiple subcutaneous silicone lumps and pain with a history of previous ruptured silicone implants. Technique: T1, T2 with fat saturation axial, ccoronal, and sagital images of the chest were obtained with the body coil. Findings: Previous silicone implants noted July 94 have been removed. The subcutaneous fat demonstrates normal signal intensity. No visible subcutaneous masses are identified on the MRI. Microscopic silicone or tiny silicone granulomas may be obscured based on their small size. as a body coil and large filed of view is necessary to image the entire chest, signal from the osseous, muscular and subcutaneous fat regions within normal limits. A small amount of fluid was seen in the subscapularis bursa of the right shoulder possibly still physiologic and within normal limits. The exam is otherwise unremarkable.
