Spring is here which means that Summer is around the corner. As the easy days of summer descend upon us and the school year comes to an end many Broward County residents with developmental disabilities (DD) are left with nothing to do during the day.

With this in mind, LIFE’s Board of Directors has again decided to fund summer respite activities to both ease the burden on family members and to ensure that individuals with DD do not languish at home but are out in the community as active participants in all that Broward County has to offer.

If you or a loved one with a developmental disability are in need of assistance in order to participate in a meaningful summer activity please fill out the attached application and media release form. Deadline for submission is: May 1st. Applications may be submitted via fax, email or regular mail but must be received no later than May 1st at the following location: LIFE, 350 NW 84th Ave, Suite 211, Plantation, FL 33324 or via email to lifeflorida@... or via fax to (fax).

The scholarship awards will be paid directly to the respite or program provider.
