This your are not going to believe: (I don't): The dentist who did a root canal on my infected tooth over 10 years ago, left the tip of a tiny instrument in the root canal of my tooth!!! It has been there all this time, and now showed on the x-ray. It complicated the solution to the problem I had with the infected tooth, and the bridge it held up. One day when I am not so tired I will take the X-ray and my bill to the dentist who left the instrument in my tooth, and tell him that if he doesn't pay the bill I will report him to the *^#* & ^%$ Dental Board or whatever it is called. I will have to do an implant to replace this tooth down the road, but I am not going to worry about that now. I am just 'sharing' and I am greatful you are there. Guest guest
Hello Ann-, It sounds like you have been on a bumpy road lately....I know it is not fun, but I assure you that it will all be over someday soon! I also went through the root canal debacle, where the endodontist left a broken off portion of his instrument in the bottom of my tooth canal...he tried three times to get it out before giving up and filling in around it. I was not a happy camper about that, but there was nothing I could do about it. Here's where I learned something huge....and now I have better vision with hindsight. By the way, my endodontist told me that this broken tool bit happens every now and then with root canals, and that it was nothing to get too worried about, because the tool is titanium, a relatively safe material for implantation. Whatever. (Shocking, huh?) In any case, here's the rest of my story.... Within several months of receiving the root canals, my knee started bothering me like crazy. It started out feeling like stiffness, or arthritis. It got to the point where it was throbbing in pain while I laid in bed at night, and it affected my sleep. During the day while I sat at my desk, it was fine, but when I went to stand up, I could barely straighten my leg without being in alot of pain and limping. This went of for about 6 months, until I decided enough was enough, and I had remembered the book " Root Canal CoverUp " by Meinig. My holistic dentist's wife had warned me that she had issues with root canals, and so I decided they were coming out. Within weeks of having my root canals on my lower left molar removed properly by a holistic dentist, my knee pain disappeared!!! I kid you not, the pain has been gone completely ever since. It has never returned in the past 2 years. It was an experience that blew my mind. I had my proof that for me, root canals were a bad thing, and that dental issues (infection in the dental tubules) would show up in areas far from the site of my mouth that appeared to have no connection. My knees appeared to be my weak area. It was consistent with the scientific findings of Dr. Weston Price, Meinig, et al. I hope this sheds a little light on your situation. My breast implants made me sick. My root canals also created arthritic-like conditions in my knee. Two situations that stumped the doctors and left me sick had I not continued to look for answers. Things are never what they seem, and doctors don't always know the true answers as to why we are ill. (No dentist would have considered that my root canals were causing my knee pain except the holistic ones.) I wish you healing. I would suggest probiotics for healing, such as yogurt and kefir, and eating raw garlic if you can. You can heat up some chicken broth and crush some garlic cloves into the broth for a nice soup. Give your body some fighting assistance with these foods. Stay hopeful..you are on the right path!
