Dave, my understanding was that the Prodigy Voice developers were still

working on the software that would allow transfer of its readings to your

computer. I'm not sure you can do what you need.

Printing a log from the Prodigy Voice

Advanced Diabetic Supplies is requesting a log for their records since my

daily strip need is above the guidelines for insulin dependent diabetics (3

per day!).

So, how can I do this, assuming I can, with my sighted wife's assistance of

course?

Thanks.

HI, Alan, I was under the impression the issue was accessibility of the

software. Perhaps you're right. Ruth? What's the deal?

from what I understand, Prodigy had an outside company reprogram or rewrite

the management software. Last I heard, it still wasn't ready for public

release.

Dave,

My husband, a computer geek, cannot print anything from the Prodigy meter.

They supposedly have been working on this for several years and still have

not come up with a solution.

It's kind of hard to believe, really. Meters have had the capability of printing

out the data for many years. A meter I used at least 10 years ago could do it.

I don't use the Prodigy meter so can't help you there, but I think three

strips per day for a Type 1 (or Type 2 who uses insulin) is crazy!

It's also crazy that a meter would not have accompanying diabetes

management software. Even cheap Walmart meters have this capability ...

Can you check their website to see if there's something you can download?

nope. They took the software off line. I asked a customer service rep and she

Hi,

This may not help, since you are wanting retrospective records, but in

the future, www.glucosebudy.com may help. I use glucosebuddy to log my

records which I can then print out and bring to my DR. This is a free

service and has an iPhone app if you need to record and sync records

while on the go.

Cheers,

Brett.

I'll probably go through the meter's memory and enter the readings and date/time

in a spread sheet. Thanks for the web site suggestion nonetheless.

exactly. My endocrinologist says between 6 and 10 for type 1 diabetics,

especially on a pump.

a while back I had a similar situation with CVS. As i onlhy live with

spoiled cats creating a handwritten log which they sent to me was not an

option. When I notified CVS of this they said they would contact my doctor

to get the appropriate documentation that they needed. have been out of town

so this is the reason for the delayed response.

Printing a log from the Prodigy Voice

Advanced Diabetic Supplies is requesting a log for their records since my

daily strip need is above the guidelines for insulin dependent diabetics (3

per day!).

So, how can I do this, assuming I can, with my sighted wife's assistance of

course?

Thanks.

Dave
