Guest guest
You know how I like to tell a story. I heard this is a true one. A very fat man was taken captive in a central american country, maybe gwatamala. While being held captive in a cave until his ransom was paid, his captives fed him the cheapest thing they could find, boiled hen's eggs. He had only boiled eggs and water for many months. Finally, many months later when his ransom was paid, he was released in the best health of his life. Of course he was not a diabetic, but he did loose over 100 pounds of fat by just eating boiled eggs alone with water. When I was a child, my daily chore at grandma's house was to feed the chickens, slop the hogs and gather the eggs of which there was about a dozen layers in the pen. Only one hen didn't like me to slip my hand under and remove her egg. She always pecked the blood out of my hand. My grandmother knew I didn't get all of the eggs, since she always knew exactly how many there were to be gathered. I told her the truth though, since I was taught to never lie. I would just tell her I gathered as many as I could. I never told her I learned to avoid gather the egg under the pecking hen. She would just smile and thank me for gathering the eggs.
