Guest guest
Hello! I am new to this site. I was explanted 7months ago and am still struggling with some symptoms. The worst for me is the return of my extremely dry eyes. I wear sunglasses constantly and it is hard to watch tv, get on the computer, and drive. I have tried many over the counter drops, which dont seem to help. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone ever struggled with this for SO long? My eyes got better back in May, but then it all came back a few months ago..I am of course detoxing, exercising, trying to follow the candida diet and am working with Dr Rayner (who works with Dr Kolb) but of course with her being out-of-state it is hard to go to her with questions. Can anyone give me any advice? THANKS Carlin for getting me on this site
Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to our group. I am so glad to hear you were explanted, and I know how desperately you want to feel better. You've come to the right place. There are many women here who have been through this struggle, and we hope that we can share some helpful tips for you. First of all, I want to say that it is not unusual to still have symptoms this long after explant. It takes many months to begin turning your health around. I apologize that your letter got buried under some of the other posts. I am trying to stay up with everyone, but I'm not very good at it lately. I'm so glad you know PH! She has been through alot and is learning so much. I am sure she is going to be a good friend through this period of healing you are going through. Have you been tested for Sjogren's syndrome? If not, I would suggest that, to know if you are dealing with this autoimmune condition. There are things the doctors can suggest, whether eye drops or treatments or whatever. I myself did not have the dry eyes, though I did have trouble with my eyes with various kinds of visual disturbances. It was really hard to describe and I sought the help of an optometrist, but he could find nothing wrong. When I told him I had implants and thought I was sick from them, (in the hopes that would spark some kind of answer), he just looked at me like I had a third eye or something. No help. It all just eventually got better, but it did take a total of 4 years to feel human again. Tell us more about yourself and what you went through...why did you get explanted? Were you explanted properly? (With a total capsulectomy or en bloc?) Patty --- In , " noimplants " <noimplants@...> wrote: > > Hello! I am new to this site. Guest guest
Hi , I had the dry eyes, and they got much better after a couple of years. I did use over the counter all natural eye drops, but would not use any prescription eye drops. They wanted to put silicone plugs in the corner of my eyes and I said " NO WAY! " . They are much better still and it is many years later (17 yrs.) Lynda
Guest guest
Hi , I have also suffered from dry eyes for years and it does seem to come and go. I also wake up with the feeling like I have sand in my eyes. I have been improving lately with a strict candida diet. I have gone three weeks now with no grains, dairy, nuts or beans. I have added lots of good oils and am trying to get my dose of coconut oil up to 6 tbsp. a day. I think the dry eye may be due to a lack of good saturated fats. Not sure but I am improving and don't seem to notice the burning so much during the day. Have a good day, Joanne > > Hello! I am new to this site.
