Guest guest
> I have stopped the GSE but he still eats grapefruit everyday. Hi Darlene, If your son eats grapefruit every day you can safely give him GSE anyway. The danger is for people who don't usually eat grapefruit (or GSE) and they suddenly start to, while they are also on other medication. There are some changes that take place in the body when you eat grapefruit and this leads many times to changes in the way your body metabolizes the drugs. If you usually eat grapefruit you don't have to stop it when you start taking Rx drugs. When I say " eat grapefruit " I also mean drinking grapefruit juice or taking GSE. They all contain the same chemical... naringenin. > Does anyone have any ideas on what the rash is from? All I can think of is: liver detoxification problems (of course, it can be anything else...) Either yeast, or phenols, or any other chemical that it's produced in the body and detoxified by the liver. You might want to try milk thistle. My sister had something similar and those small red bumps disappeared two days after she started taking milk thistle. You can also try the fat soluble vitamins (A, E, D) and molybdenum maybe... My kids don't have die off effect when yeast is dying off, but that did not mean they did not have yeast in the first place. http://www.autismchannel.net/dana/yeast.htm > He was always one who loved and craved sugary things and high carbs. My guess is that he is eating grapefruit because it is affecting the medication. I would recommend you stop letting him eat grapefruit!! He can have other citrus, oranges and lemons and things, but NOT grapefruit!! > > He has a rash on his body that I thought was yeast. Lots of bumps > that aren't big and are almost skin colored. Stop the grapefruit, maybe consider a probiotic. Dana
Guest guest
I put my little guy, 4 1/2, on enzymes and GSE too....in last month or so.... he now gets 1 peptizyde, 1 hn zyme prime and 1 no fenol at every meal...anyway, I started doses of enzymes very small (1/4 of a capsule at first)... and moved up to where we are today as I saw he had no bad reaction... well... now that he gets 3 per meal, we had major yeast die off this week...so, could take a while to see it happen...but, the enzymes do seem to help with the yeast issues. Guest guest
First of all Hi again !!!!! Hope all of you girls are doing well. I need to ask, I have fibroids and cyst on my uterus or ovaries (not real up on the doctor stuff ) anyways, I have pain lower pain there all the time and the pain is in back as well, is this just strange pains from having implants or could this be the fibroids etc ...I know the doctor can't tell, she's not up on the implant pains....I don't know what to do, I feel like I have cramps all the time. Even the tops of my legs hurt. Also I have gained 38 lbs in the last 3 years so doctor gave me phentimine, but I haven't tried yet, what do you girls think of that ? I heard they make you hyper. Guest guest
, Have they ruled out a cyst that needs to be removed? I have a friend with implants who just had a 5 pound tumor removed from her abdomen. She was overweight, but since the surgery has dropped to a size 4 once again. They only recently discovered the tumor, and she was having pains for awhile, and gaining weight herself. It may be a totally different issue than yours, but just thought I'd mention it.
