Guest guest
I LOVE!!!! to perform. Public speaking is a specialty. Some of the happiest moments of my life were on the piano bench playing for a church choir. When everything came together and I was playing well, it was truly divine. I also loved singing, but didn't like (as much) to solo, even though I did. Last Easter, during services, I got a great idea for a sermon. (No, I've never preached). I was actually annoyed because, as wonderful as the pastor's sermon was, I wanted to be on the mic giving the sermon that day. I mean . . . who does that???? What a great question. My prediction is there isn't anyone here that is neutral. I'm guessing we either hate it or love it. Guest guest
This is an interesting one. I used to love Drama at High School and went on to pursue performance at University. Then all of a sudden, in my early 20s, after I obtained my degree I kind of froze up. It happened at the same time as a close friend of mine died while I was performing in a little Theatre that I had my sights set on for years. I always figured my friend's death was the catalyst for this change. Now the idea of being in the spotlight terrifies me! I have recurring dreams that I'm about to perform and I have no idea what my lines are. Sometimes I don't even know what the play is. I always think that one would be a lot of fun for a therapist! Guest guest
Yeah, I'm in the love it department! Everything from dance to playing a billion instruments and performing. And now a big part of my job is teaching others to do public speaking. I just don't know if doing that is really from inside me, or if it is something I learned to do to feed nada's narcissistic supply. Guess it doesn't really matter. . . Yeah, but I was guessing the 2 extreme reactions. .. . its a weird one. Do you guys do that - question parts of yourself and wonder if its really you or a reflection of Nada? Can you say FLEA? By the way, Karla, I bet your sermon would have ROCKED! On Wed, Aug 18, 2010 at 9:37 PM, kyjohnson40days wrote: > > > I LOVE!!!! to perform. Public speaking is a specialty.
