Guest guest
Got this from a friend today....had no idea she had suffered this summer, and even more surprised that she was able to discover her malady was from FAKE SUGAR in her sugarless gum!!!! Take a look! "Over the summer I had a health scare that I spent a lot of time researching. Half of my face drooped, couldn't close one eye…it was horrible! I thought I was having a stroke. After it was determined to be not-a-stroke, they could not hold out any certainty that I would recover, although they thought I would eventually, maybe in a year or so. Scary! I finally found that it is a not uncommon reaction to man-made sugars. I don't drink diet sodas, and I don't eat foods with them in there either, but I chewed sugarless gum all day long. Within two weeks of giving it up I was back to normal. Now the only non-sugar sugars I use are Stevia and Xylitol, because I believe them to be safe." Guest guest
Yes, those fake sugars are very, very bad for our bodies. I avoid them. I also avoid a lot of real sugars, but I am not nearly as worried about them. I will use a bit of maple syrup, agave nectar, etc. Xylitol gives me the runs, so have to be very careful. Stevia does not usually taste good to me, maybe I need to find a different brand.
